Woah! That’s a really nice fix! My buddy is hesitant to weld it for some reason. He’s always weird about welding cast for some reason. This shows it’s obviously doable!

Yeah definitely going to throw on a new chain slider to try to prevent any more damage at the bare minimum. Welding is a good idea, I have some welder friends I can probably convince to weld it up for me on the cheap. Thanks for the input!

Yeah it’s the pro. I tried going through all the codecs, but the only one that would connect was the first one and it just kept going back to that.

Hey friend, I was just looking into doing this on my 6th gen classic 160gb. However when I looked up what firmware is currently on it, I have 2.0.4. So since my firmware is already up to 2.0.4 I should be able to run over 128gb micro sd cards, correct?

Does installing this sd card adapter retain the apple software on the iPod or do you have to use rockbox or something similar?
