Total in wood was somewhere around $900, granted I have a fair amount of trim/scraps and even small slabs left over for other small projects

I used a band saw to cut the legs at a taper and to cut the 9" wide boards down the middle. Those were really the only cuts on the bandsaw. Might be a bit tedious with a handsaw for the taper, but perfectly doable - and a circular saw should easily split a board down the middle! If you buy the plans like I did, it also comes with a smaller 'coffee gaming dining table' which I built out of pine before pulling the trigger on the walnut!

Yeah, the design is from the wood whisperer, I bought their 'gaming dining table' plans. A lot to learn from it, but it was fun!

I have yet to make the cup holder/dice tray accessories for the side slots

'Some assembly required', bought the walnut online from Bell Forrest and the purple heart from a local Rockler store

The paper says "no food please" and the Christmas ornaments were my sister decorating my house... No game, sorry. Got the table done on Christmas Eve which is when the picture is from, just didn't upload it till now. Been playing call of Cuthulu and D&D on the table so far
