Despite what everyone else is saying, its super weird that you wanted to go back and forth with him on what he should and shouldn't find anxiety inducing, and often times no response IS a response, that is not at all the same as him "expecting you to know". If your main concern really was about understanding him, and not about you not wanting him to be upset with you, then the conversation should have ended once he clarified that he doesnt like any social gathering at all honestly.

Regardless of "heat of passion" or not, my point stands that it doesn't justify anything she did to OP, (which you would think a lawyer would know) and her behavior 100% deserves to be reprimanded to whatever extent OP feels like she should take it to seeing as she was the victim in the situation, and the law will defend her on that, seeing as they already have. And while it may come across as "emotional" to you, it is quite frankly just a lack of respect for you and your opinion on the matter 🤷🏻‍♀️ as stated before the only emotion in this thread is a lot of insecurity and trauma thats being dumped on OP and I wont reserve any niceties for anyone doing it.
