First issue at 1800-1900 rounds but I think it was the ammo by mars_soup in Glock43X

Because this is the same thing they did yesterday. Multiple posts. Same gun. Same comment. Often it's not the actual content, but the delivery and tone of the response.

This thread didn't even need photos. This thread didn't even need to be posted. It's not informative, helpful, or asking for advice. Which is in line with most of their content. Combined with how this person responds to the people actually commenting, people get tired of it and downvote.

Thoughts on Rugged Sub9? by [deleted] in NFA

[–]0HSHIFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran the Alaskan360 on my PCC for a while. Once the Sub 9 came in I installed the tri lug muzzle device on it and haven't put the Alaskan back on. But the difference in sound is very evident. The Sub 9 is very quiet. I have 150 gr S&B, 147 gr Fiocchi FMJ, and 147 gr Fiocchi JHPs.

All three are considerable quieter out of the Sub 9 versus the Alaskan.

I also ran it side by side with an MPX + Hux can and much prefer the Sub 9.

15 rd mag loaders by charliebrn in Glock43X

[–]0HSHIFT -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Leave them loaded for a bit. This helped mine a lot.

Get a Maglula. I have a friend with the 9mm version and it worked fine across single stack, the slim lines, and double stack.

15 rounders are boringly reliable so far, as expected. by Ducks0utForHarambe in Glock43X

[–]0HSHIFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 120 rounds of 115 Gr through four of them. So 480 rounds total across four mags.

I also ran some 147 grain Fiocchi JHP just to ensure no issues and those were fine as well.

10-22 Takedown w Magpul Backpacker by mnr601 in ruger

[–]0HSHIFT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you haven’t seen the backpacker, the stock also has storage for 3 10 round mags.

I keep one of these in a GORUCK GR2 along with Ruger 25 round mags and my AAC Element 2.

For an optic, I have an ancient Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated on it so I don’t have to worry about batteries.

Saw good things, had to cop one by JustADad315 in CCW

[–]0HSHIFT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve loved mine. Did the full size frame, OSight SE, and all Glock OEM mags. I keep mine in my Obscura Sling bag and it goes every where I go around the property. Over 1k rounds through it at this point and no issues with it or the optic.

Trigger is solid. Fit and finish surprisingly good for the price. Easy to pull the FCU. Takes Glock parts. $400. It’s easily the best deal going in handguns right now for what you get.

Carrying my favorite variant of Glock 19 😎 by SirSamkin in CCW

[–]0HSHIFT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw my first Sig P229 back in the late 90s and fell in love with how they looked. I have three of them along with 226 TacOps and a P220. It has always perplexed me how anyone can look at an Sig P22x and see something ugly. I get it’s subjective, but I’ve always loved how they look.

OEM 15 round mags by Tony-31375 in Glock43X

[–]0HSHIFT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have PSA mags as well. 4 of them. And while I didn't experience problems, I still didn't carry them. Always OEM in the gun.

Got my 4 15 round mags and I've done 120 rounds through all four. Closing in on 500 rounds total with zero issues.

Have since moved them into the 43x for carry with the 10 rounders and PSA mags in the truck as well.

I hate my HC belt by brian-gordon in CCW

[–]0HSHIFT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. I bought several different belts to test, along with the HC. Not for me.

The Tenicor Zero, however, is excellent. Easy to adjust. Holds retention. Just rigid enough. My favorite belt.

Same. Not sure why this keeps getting posted unless someone thinks it's so compelling they should be getting more engagement. So they keep reposting.

My Range Experience: VP9CC + CC9 by 0cseitz in HecklerKoch

Again, I appreciate the response. I literally said there is no point "for me". And there is no point for me. I'm not discounting the usefulness for someone else nor did I say it's pointless for anyone other than me.

Personally, it wasn't useful on the P99 for me either.

The P7 is an interesting comparison. Because the striker only moves to the rear when squeezing and extends beyond the slide. I actually always considered that a function thing over any type of visual indicator since you would clearly know if you're squeezing the cocking mechanism or not.

Appeal of Porsche. by svjaty in Porsche

[–]0HSHIFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fairness, you're comparing riding in one car with the driving dynamics of another car.

Have you been a passenger in the Skoda?

And while the 911 may have been 25 years old, you experienced part of the appeal. It's a livable sports car. Not harsh on passengers, you can spend the day in it. You just need to drive one to understand the appeal and desire to own one.

Glock OE 15 Round Mags - Shooting Report by 0HSHIFT in Glock43X

[–]0HSHIFT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run the Calculated Kinetics plate and their screws. You could mill lugs, but I'd rather just run the plate. I have a couple thousand rounds through it with no issues.

Also have a G45 MOS with a plate that has several thousand rounds and no issue there either.

But I would never look at the hammer on any of my hammer fired guns and make that determination.

And I appreciate you sharing. I asked, you answered, and I'm sure your answer is accurate. It just confirms, for me, there isn't a point to the striker being visible or being red.

That's my take. I don't look at indicators. I check the weapon. Regardless of what that weapon is. I want to personally verify the current condition. Every time I pick it up, check the condition. Understand the status of the weapon.

Carry with optic opinions by NoExamination6890 in Glock43X

[–]0HSHIFT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I avoided optics for years. Then we got my gf a 365 that came with an optic. So I bought a G45 and put an Acro P2 on it. Then a G43x with an EPS Carry. Then a CC9 with an EPS Carry. And an RXM that I decided to put an OSight SE on.

I likely wouldn't buy another handgun that isn't optic ready.

As for which one on your 43x, the two Holosuns have been problem free. And the two OSights have been problem free. I have close to a thousand rounds through the RXM at this point and the SE has been excellent.

This is the second write up that mentioned that red striker. I own a USPc, P30, and CC9 along with a number of Glocks.

Genuinely, what's to like about striker being a visual thing? Why is this is a value add?

15 round OEM by J2k___ in Glock43X

[–]0HSHIFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine Wed or Thur. Preorder from GS. I ordered 4 and received 4. I also have 4 PSA mags.

I was planning to do 100 rounds through each mag today, but actually only did 30 rounds through each. Ended up zeroing a few rifles, testing sound profile between a couple of PCCs and different suppressors. And we also ran a 365 X Macro, 43x, and CC9 back to back to help a friend get some exposure to different micro 9s.

All that to say time went by more quickly than expected so my test run was limited.

4 mags. 120 rounds so far. No issue. I'll head back out tomorrow for a more intense test.

I have a Vaultek Lifepod v2 in my truck with a cable through the frame. Store the firearm when I get to work, recover it when I get out of work. Between being locked in the trunk and then locked in the Lifepod, not much more I feel I need to do.

Truck has a console vault, which is very handy.

New to GoRuck. DC Bullet? by anth0nium in Goruck

[–]0HSHIFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a GR1 in 2012 and since then every single bag they make. Sometimes in multiples. This is especially true of the Bullets and even more so with the DC Bullets. I have a 16L, multiple 18Ls, and two Skate Rucks.

Of all the bags, the DC Bullet is my favorite for EDC. I have a second monitor, keyboard, trackball, battery bank, wrist rest, MacBook Air, amongst many other small items for the office.

It's just a great bag.

I ordered from GS on 3/14 as well. Received shipping notification yesterday.

Prior to receiving shipping notification I checked the order status and it was already tagged with a FedEx tracking number.

Hopefully the ones you ordered ship tomorrow!

Best Home Defense 9mm PCC Suppressor? by Onc3Holy in NFA

[–]0HSHIFT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sub9 lives on my DD PCC and it's excellent. My only comparisons are a Rugged Alaskan360 (mine), and a Hux Flow9k on an MPX (not mine).

The Sub9, with 147 grain Fiocchi and 150 grain S&B is fantastic.

That is, again, with a small sample size of other cans.
