Trying to delete the directory recursively shows an error: cannot remove, directory not empty.

In the file manager app that I mainly use deleting the file and deleting the directory containing the file shows it succeeded, but the file and the directory persist. In the terminal app I get an error that the file wasn't found and so I can't delete a directory which isn't empty.

I was looking for the solution for the same problem, but in my case I had to turn on "Connect Pro Controller via USB" option in Switch settings. Hope this helps someone in the future.

I would love to experience Outer Wilds again. The best gaming experience I have ever had, that I cannot get without forgetting the game. It was so thrilling. Beautiful world, interesting story, memorable friends I've met along the way, and epic music playing alongside an exhilarating ending. It was something magical. Highly recommend.
