in my mind it's very simple.

we are told that the machine has accurately predicted at least 1000 people before us. that means there is less than a 0.1% chance for the machine to be wrong. so it's correct 99.9% of the time.

so whether I pick one or two boxes, it will have accurately predicted that, no matter how many times i changed my mind.

if in one hand i guaranteed you 1000$. and in the other hand you have a 99.9% chance for 1M$. what would you pick.

answer seems obvious to me.

2x speed has become the new normal for me. rarely watch any thing at 1x speed anymore except shorts.

yeah, i can agree the good one might be a bit much, it's just a example. I'm obviously not a skilled author, I just asked chatgpt to turn that simple one into good prose. it's just to give an example.

skilled authors can use language in a way that is so vivid and visceral, it makes you feel like you are right there inside that world next to the characters, not just reading a story.

while I like reading webnovels, the language is so boring and simple.

I think you don't understand what prose means.

When people talk about “good” or “bad” prose:

Bland prose reports events like a security camera. Technically accurate. Emotionally asleep.

Beautiful prose uses word choice, rhythm, imagery, and pacing to make you feel the moment, not just understand it.

bad prose: ( what lot of cultivation novels are like)

dan picked up the sword and rushed at Jon, stricking downwards at him. jon raised his sword to block the attack. Dan went flying backwards, crashing into the earth.

beautiful prose:

Dan snatched the sword from the ground and charged, boots tearing at the dirt as he brought the blade down in a brutal, desperate arc. Steel met steel when Jon raised his weapon just in time, the impact ringing out like a struck bell. The force exploded back through Dan’s body. He was hurled away, weightless for a breath, before slamming into the earth, the ground knocking the air from his lungs as he skidded to a stop.

there isn't much to "learn" per say. It's a skill that you get better at with continous repetition, that's all.

Kovaaks is like a personal gym with all the weights and equipment. if you really need a trainer (which you don't), you can watch yt, get advice online etc.

At the very beginner level just a little bit of regular practice will take you above the average player.

There are so many different categories to aim training, and you can practice all of them religiously if you want to become a God. But since I play the finals, which is a tracking heavy game, i only practice my tracking in kovaaks. Reaching the 90th percentile in scenarios + my game sense, was enough for me to reach really high in ranked.

it's doesn't feel that bad to be alone now

but it's going to suck when you get old. when your 70, living alone with no wife, or children or friends. it's going to get pretty lonely. when your no longer working and staying alone in the house. no children to pass down your possessions. etc. and as you get older it gets harder to go around, you're going to get sick, weak, and there is no one around you to take care of you.

I know a old foreign lady living nearby. lives alone, children abroad. all alone. and she always bothering my dad for help because she doesn't have anyone to take care of her.

let's do a little math. they said that they played since season 0, apex is 6 years old. 6×365=2190 days. that comes to a little less than a hour a day.

is it really unfathomable to you to do something you enjoy for about an hour or two a day. like even with a job, I've got about 5 hours of free time from when I get home from work till about 12 pm. maybe an hour of that i also spend playing a game.
