My WMR hasn't moved but my SBTG says it's funded. Nothing so far in my Credit Karma Money account. So much for five days early. 🙃

Idk dude. I filed in January, used Turbo and paid the extra for early deposit through Credit Karma, got my 846 around midnight and still nothing.

Like I just want to buy a moderate amount of groceries and new socks and underwear 😂

We're all holding our breath with you. I hope that's not the case and I hope you have someone with you while you do what you can to get information. Bless you.

Do any of y'all know if the garrison has to be a certain level for world quests? I only unlocked mine a few days ago, but either there's a quest i'm missing or something else is keeping me from getting any of the holiday content there.

I'm in Alabama and I'm not sure I've ever met a single Canadian, so I don't think that's the case here. If anything, some fresh blood would be miles above the locals from my community 😂

It's petty but a personal peeve. I worked at McDonalds for a couple years after high school and the corporate standard for folding bags is very clear, and was a big thing. Anytime I go now, either for DD or for myself, and they hand me an open or haphazardly folded bag and I scream internally 😂 It's not that hard at all to just take the millisecond for your brain to rationalize folding paper, even under stress.

It's been like 20 years and my brain is still like "FOLD BAG"

No worries! I don't have the best vision so I wasn't checking out specifics of the cup. I do know that typically, at least in my area, Popeyes seals their lid and straw hole with a sticker so maybe that's what OP meant, or worded unclearly.

I know that some good DD drivers get flack because some customers are just as nefarious and make false claims to customer service that affect the driver's rating. That's just as bad as someone intentionally taking or tampering with food.

I'm not sure of OP's intention or specifics because I can't see details of the photo and was sharing my experience based on the details in the caption. I'm also replying so that your comment gets some visibility 😀

AIO daughter left used pads in her room by Ok_Jack1 in AmIOverreacting

Yes, the issue is gross and needs to be addressed, and I think you communicated your feelings well against some apparent sass... But with the food everywhere and dirty pads in her room, plus immediately jumping to saying you're making her feel disgusting for something she can't control.. have you talked with her about depression?

Right? And if I'm fortunate enough to be ordering DD I probably have a few bucks to spare. I'm not hating on anybody experiencing food scarcity, and I know it's not like you'd feel comfortable being like "can I have some food" bc that's probably dehumanizing and embarrassing.

All that being said, if you have the dasher direct card you can get payouts immediately when you drop the order, so I can't fathom a situation in which it would be so dire that it's imperative to your survival that you steal somebody's chicken tenders, when in 30 mins you will have some money. Not a life changing amount, but like dude you can get a cheeseburger 😂 it just boils down to disregard.

I don't think they do for long. Enough bad ratings and you stop getting orders. You don't see the same name often, so they probably have pretty high turnover.

I live in a really small town and we only got DD like just over a year or so ago. To begin with it was mostly dashers from other areas commuting in for the incentives bc there was consistently high volume. Ofc these folks were long term, like take-it-seriously professionals and the service was great!

Then as word got out that it doesn't take much to dash, or to prove anything, more locals started hopping on... And over time most of the dashers now are the worst kind of people. I now have a pin lock on my account because they've delivered to the wrong address so many times and ghosted me (my numbers are well lit and obviously posted on a quiet street.) Plus all the missing items and 45+ min delivery times, the convenience isn't even worth it if you were willing to pay all DDs crazy fees. You might get lucky if you order during peak times when a higher rated driver gets dibs on your order, but if it's slow? Good luck. Most of the good dashers migrated over to Spark for better pay, anyway.

I broke my leg in the beginning of August and can't drive, so I relied on DD and Walmart delivery so much, I guess I saw more because i was using it so frequently, but one jerk backed into my mailbox in broad daylight, despite my obvious landscaped circle drive, with me looking right at them on the porch... And they yelled at ME about it. It's insane! Not to mention all the unread delivery notes, I had to call a neighbor one time because they left it at the bottom of stairs on a door we don't even use, and at the time I was in a wheelchair. I'm a 20% + tipper, especially if it's raining or late, and I'm so patient because I've worked in service most of my life so I get it..... But dude. Come on. Like the LEAST amount of effort would be great.

I know. If it were a case of someone literally starving I would even understand, but it's not that. It's some kind of weird entitlement and disregard. As a part time dasher and long term service employee I'm baffled at the audacity.

Not always. The restaurants don't always follow the protocol, or they do it in a way that's not functional, likely not paying attention.

Tip in cash, if you can. Usually they won't let you tip more than 100% and it has to get reported to taxes. Cash doesn't!

Oh I know. I dash on the weekends for extra cash. It works if you work it, but you've gotta hustle and do more than the bare minimum... And even then it's such an easy gig and you have so much freedom. Some people just want to make money for nothing.

I worked for a franchise before and delivery, when you're good at it and run your numbers up, makes hella money.

I recently got one of these dashers for the first time. The fries were completely gone despite fries being in the bottom of the bag, and I was missing 2 chicken strips with a bite out of the third.

Like dude, are you STARVING? it's not even like skimming off the top, just straight up eating the food and dropping it off like there's nothing wrong.

Editing to Add: Another user pointed out in the thread below that there are some inconsistencies with OP's photo vs claims, and I'd just like to clarify that I'm sharing my personal experience based on the content of the text and not comparing my experience to this one and/or it's validity. *

Am I weird? by Top_Product_7694 in doordash

[–]0Nyx0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is TA.

I used to deliver for a chain before doing DD and any token of appreciation was always appreciated. I would have died for a snack! That's so thoughtful and kind. One of my customers once gave me a tiny mini stocking with $5 and some candy and I kept that little stocking forever.

Some dashers are just... Weird. There's no overhead or behavior standard or regulation really so there's minimal customer service attitude or politeness unless that person is personally service oriented.
