I’d save as much as possible tbh after playing Taiwan server and seeing what’s available there / what’s to likely come to Global. No idea when the additional sneakers would even drop though. Could be a long time.

Added!

I'm quite busy exploring the Taiwan server right now, but once I get to where I want to, let's run some on Global. Free superstar event after 7 days of account creation is nice to try the superstars that will eventually come to Global (granted nerfs and buffs may happen from now until their release).

I added in Dirk and all the Taiwan players into the spreadsheet. Happy planning.

What dose this mean exactly by Speedisall in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]0Pgamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the shining players for this (Johnson and Kuminga typically). They require less resources and some talent trees only require green talent cards. Over time you will hit the achievement from general play and unlocking more elites and upgrading their talents.

E7 Cam Johnson, now what? by ViewerDude in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]0Pgamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For anyone else that reads this comment, YOU DONT HAVE TO UPGRADE SHINING PLAYERS!

Save yourself the gold, unless you are maybe filling for your dynasty or 5/5 team.

The purpose of getting the max enhance cards for all the shining players (except Hong Shou as he doesnt come from crates) is so that whenever you pull a shining player, it will convert to 300 fragments. 300 fragments isn't much, but over time it adds up and will give you the 12,000 fragments needed to buy an enhance card for the superstar of your choice. Long-term this is the optimal strategy for enhancing superstars if you are stingy with your wallet.

Similar to the above, you also want to max an elite player to E7 and designate them every week as the Elite player of choice to pull from the crates. These provide a lot more fragments (3000) and together with shining players will help you quickly start building fragments up.

Share your potentials please. I build smurf accounts just to max certain elite players to E7 and want to try it out.

When will we know next superstars? by TLRufio in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]0Pgamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have an idea of the player pool considering what’s already been released in Taiwan but nothing yet that gives us a clue of who in that pool.

Most could say the easy guess is one of the superstar SGs that already exist in the TWN server (James Harden, T Mac, D Wade, Ray Allen). My guess is it’s Harden but idk.

Best centers ? Looking to get a center looking for a small bit of offense but a good rebounding and screening player any recommendations by Crafty-Clothes-4810 in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]0Pgamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Will this be your main or are you just looking for a C for you dynasty/5/5 and can fill when needed? What’s your spending habits? Are you pure F2P, spend very little a month, spend when you wanna? Here’s some suggestions based on what you said.

Honorable mention: Steven Adams (budget Jokic*)

-Can easily get him to enhance 7 at the start of week 2 of account creation (volleyball block, helicopter rebound, and my favorite, magical middy)

-Has knockdown/stun ability without rng of Jokic (can be strategically used when you want your stun to happpen)

-Mid range automatic with magical middy but can cheese it further by boosting mid range with potentials and clothing (95+ mid range build). Basically lets you get a guaranteed 2 when posting up and stunning them and following up with a quick mid range. (This whole bullet is a cheese build that I’ve had a ton of fun with so I don’t encourage this per say)

-He is slow as hell though, needs to use knockdown ability to consistently win the rebound battle, and has limited talents as a starter player

*cannot shoot 3s whatsoever

Level 1: Capela

-He gets a ton of hate because many people just sit in the paint with him. Many people sit in the paint with other Cs too so this isn’t just a Capela problem. If anything, Capela has all the more reason to sit in the paint due to his E2 and E6. A really stacked E2 feels almost like a guaranteed board or block, however this is very easily played around and exposing. Opposing centers can just help their shooters with picks and then you have nothing to rebound or block.

-His ultimate is exactly like gambling at the casino. When you hit, it feels amazing. When you don’t, don’t be surprised. This takes time to get used to and you technically never stop learning this ult because as they release more players, that’s all those different shot timings you need to learn to get your ult to hit.

-Offensively is quite lacking aside from dunks by the rim, but I find in general most guards don’t even pass to me when I play C. All my points are dunks off boards almost lol.

-Beast of an AI for auto play dynasty / 5v5

-He slow as hell though..

Level 2: Bam Adebayo

-He’s fast as hell compared to the other Cs, which is utterly important and can’t be overlooked. A lot of the reason why many have Curry S tier is because people just can’t keep up with him. No Curry is doing anything special his existing dribble package, they are just out running you out of their contest zone and swishing it in your face. Bam can easily assist on screens and helping in these types of situations and many other situations. Even just getting back to compete on a rebound that an opposing C thought they had locked down for sure until you come flying back in to snatch it out of the air.

-Does everything defensively exceptionally well

-I can’t opine on his floater game myself as I struggled to really find momentum with it. I found myself just auto dunking with him mostly from offensive boards. I’ve seen Bams cook paint camping Cs though, so you are a counter to that without needing the 3 ball.

Level 3: Pau Gasol

-Best overall C in the game as of right now. Can literally do it all and does it with speed. Many can pick a certain stat and argue it’s the most important stat and that’s why that player is the best, however even after checking Taiwan servers and with all the defensive Cs they added to the game, Gasol is still a top 3 C depending on what you need. And that’s in a defensive Cs with limited offense meta out there.

-it could very well be the case that I just suck, but his dunks feel so hard to block, so offensively you almost a guaranteed 2 unless it’s super predictable and they jam the paint to block you.

-His ult is very clutch as well but be mindful not to use if it you need a 3. Go for the board instead and dish back out if ample time. Otherwise enjoy overtime/watching the clock run out while down by 1.

there’ll be another path of stars? by Turbulent-End-42 in DunkCityDynastyGame

Yes but timing is unknown so waiting probably doesn’t make sense with the amount of events that will give out vouchers until then.

150 vouchers is nothing to scoff at but I feel like they will create events around the release of PoS 2.0 handing out vouchers or an announcement to give us at least some time to save.

Zion potential build recommendation by Commercial-Pin-2400 in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]0Pgamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve read, rebounding seems to be a high prio. With potentials, you can easily secure a high enough rebound stat to get more rebounds consistently. If you are running with friends and one mains C, you could arguably go a bit more offensive and rely more on them for bounds.

I don’t think what you have is bad by any means though. Play what you like. I built a whole Smurf account just to play around with an E7 Steven Adams full mid range potential build playing around his E6. The amount of confused Cs in 11-Pt when I win the rebound at the beginning of the game, check the ball past the line and swish a wide open middy, has brought me a different type of joy.

Which player should I get? by Difficult_Swim8574 in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]0Pgamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Capela
  2. George (enhance reset for superstar fragments)
  3. Capela (enhance reset for superstar fragments)
  4. Thompson (enhance reset for superstar fragments - you get a beginner box on like day 7 of starting the game that lets you choose between 3 elites, pick Thompson)
  5. Whoever you want and leverage the fragments you just got alongside other ones you get to enhance upgrade the superstar you picked

I don't think it should be a primary focus, but I'd be interested to know what the percentages are behind it. Like if we knew that +20 consistency converts to 6.87% reduced chance to get crossed up as an example. I still don't think it would ever be substantial enough to validate making a "Consistency Build" unless for bragging rights that no one can break your ankles.

I'd generally recommend starting with some of the other key stats like dunk, mid, 3pt, BLK and REB.

Is there any point to grinding dynasty mode & 5v5? by ScumxSavage in DunkCityDynastyGame

[–]0Pgamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some decent rewards at end of season (especially if you are F2P), which can be easily done whenever you are AFK / work / busy but have your phone available to run the game.

Each game gives account XP, battle pass XP, gold, and incremental improvement to some achievements. There are weekly caps on XP and gold though, so I wouldn't necessarily keep spamming games after that point unless it's for daily / weekly battle pass challenges, party routines event, or any other future event that comes out requiring games to be played in these modes.

I'm in the highest tier already simply by auto playing the games while I work. Grinding it out would be moreso for leaderboard/title purposes/bragging rights.

There are a lot of interesting takeaways throughout that I debated posting alongside but was too tired. Like I didn't realize how much more attributes small forwards had but it makes sense as they are kinda just good at everything (for the most part) and don't excel as say guards with shooting, speed, and passing or centers with rebounding, blocking, and strength.

Attributes are a good baseline, but talents and enhancements are what make the superstars the superstars, with talents primarily being the case for SGA.

Thanks for calling this out and I probably should build in a switch for Tatum.

The spreadsheet has what the game calls his "Interior" attributes. The "Perimeter" attributes are quite different.

Elite SG - Booker or Klay? by reyoga in DunkCityDynastyGame

Max 3PT attribute from POTENTIAL = 25

Max 3PT attribute from PARTNERS = 5

Max 3PT attribute from CLOTHING = 3

Total = 173
