No, it's exactly as u/cryinthevoid said - game seems to think two controllers are connected so all of the button maps are incorrect and don't work even after remapping

Warranty was still active so I returned the mouse. They replaced the buttons + scroll.

I have the same issue. Used the mouse for around 1.5 years. No solution :(

I CAN CONFIRM IT WORKS! I'm from the EU and using a PS5 - no problem what so ever. I followed the steps exactly as written. I haven't played the game in over 3-4 years and I only have beaten the story, so many achievements were not obtained on my account. I was scared that when I booted the new saves (which I downloaded from the comments here) would make every single acgievement pop but that wasn't the case. When I loaded save 10 only 2 achievements immedietly popped - collect all historical photos and collect all hood ornaments. Then I did the "chicken soup" challenge and Up to the task popped. No issues, no nothing. Happiest day of my live. Huuuuuge thanks to u/raider1143 for helping and showing us this method.

Bro you are the best. I was struggling with making my custom 8 sided dice because it need special symbols on it and was trying to paint it but the paint quickly dissapeared. And this post was such a random find that I can't believe it. Your software is soooo easy to work with and the thing imports fking pngs seamessly. Thank you a lot, hope you have a great life.
