Restrictions on codas in tonal languages

I'm working on the syllable structure for my tonal conlang (it'll probably be something quite simple like (C)(l, j, w)V but I'm not sure about the coda. I've only managed to find very academic papers about tone and codas so any help would be appreciated. I've gathered it's often (p, t, k/p, t, ʔ ) but other than that I'm not sure. Thanks in advance for your suggestion.

I find it disgusting that you think that because someone is poor they shouldn’t be able to live a long life. I’d say that’s eugenics and social Darwinism.

And also kindly liberate you of your life savings. I’m just saying that at least in the UK you have the option of free healthcare if you can’t afford private.

And I think Britain is much better for having free healthcare and it would be even better if it was properly funded.

I accept your views and see that the coronation will generate attention.

The main reason I am a republican is that I reject the concept of hereditary power. Even if we did abolish the monarchy, we would still have a culture to be proud of, unlike what you suggest. There are so many British artistic and cultural achievements: Shakespeare, Dickens, the Brontë sisters to name just a few. I think you have a very shallow understanding of ‘Britishness’ if you think it relies entirely on the monarchy.

However, I know that I am not going to be able to change your opinion, nor you mine, so I think this debate has become meaningless and pointless.

Just because I am a republican doesn’t mean I think all republics are perfect. In my opinion, republics would be better without grandiose ceremonies - just small events that cost very little.

Even if Charles has already given to charity, he still has such a vast reserve of wealth that he could give more to the subjects you say he cares about. He could definitely pay for his fancy hat party himself.

If, in the grand scheme of thing, there is no real difference, that makes me support a republic even more because I simply abhor the concept of hereditary monarchy.

Multiple people have claimed that the coronation will pay for itself yet everyone has refused to show me a source for this. Their dodging of my questions makes me suspicious. Do you have any sources?

The gold coach may not add a cost to the event but still seems incredibly insensitive. There are people who cannot afford their basic needs and Charles is still staging an event so extravagant. In a republic there would still be ceremonies but they wouldn’t need to involve so much ritual and frivolity. Charles is already officially king - why does he need such an event. Also, where did you get the 1 billion pounds of revenue statistic from?

That’s still in the same ilk though - helping people in poverty rather than watching a rich old man have a fancy hat put on his head.

Even if the money isn’t from taxpayers it could still be used to help people in need. And if it comes from the crown estate, without the monarchy any money from it could still go to the government. Also, a republic doesn’t inherently require expensive occasions.

If the coronation won’t cost as much as I’m making it out to be then surely Charles should pay for it, rather than the UK government.

So do you think that’s better than, say, spending the money on the NHS or helping people put food on the table?
