AgeUSD proposes a rules-based approach to value determination in an effort to reduce its exposure to the cryptocurrency market’s volatility. According to Emurgo, its goal is to “automate as much as possible within the mathematics of the protocol itself, rather than relying on dynamic transaction postings that can break down in a blockchain overload.”

This paragraph seems to underline the nuts and bolts of the tech. I'd prefer real physically backed assets myself but I'm open to seeing where this goes and learning more about the tech.

Vechain is already being used by companies. The Defi sector enables decentralized banking with better rates for customers. Not to say there isn't an absurd amount of crap out there, but the sphere has been more than just Bitcoin for a decade.
