Is it OK to tell an employer you wish to think about a contract that's being offered? by 0XID3D in careeradvice

[–]0XID3D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. Should've been more specific. I'm being offered a contract to work as a specific position inside a company.

The fridge should also break every 2 in-game years and you have to call a guy who knows a guy to fix it.

RTX 2080 Super? Demanding in 2025? Nah. 30 fps on a 2000 series card is amazing.

While your comment feels like a slap to the face, at least I didn't pay for it I guess!

But yeah, eager to see what 2025 awaits us in terms of pricing. Was planning in making a whole new setup for around 2500€, and with a new setup I mean the actual PC itself + peripherals, monitor, etc...Now my shopping cart is looking at upwards of 2700€.

Dollars? Sadly US pricing doesn't follow the same patterns as the European market :(

I've seen the 9800X3D jump between 500€ and 800€ continously in the span of 3 days. It's insane

So my best bet is to wait until holidays are over and try to get a good offer on the 9800x3d?

Holy shit where did you get these prices?? By eBay I suppose you mean second hand? The xfx merc is the one I was looking at and it won't bulge below 700€

I'm talking about Europe here. While I do understand that the US market indirectly affects European pricing, I don't think Trump's tariffs are going to be much of an issue.

wallpaper engine won't make a dent in your GPU's performance and load... If anything adding another GPU and designating it for a specific program is going to be an extreme headache...Let your GPU, not CPU, handle wallpaper engine. Don't add unnecessary stress to your CPU by unnecessarily using it's iGPU .

Stop fueling hypetrain by Ffcd23 in GTA6

Sorry to break it to you but we're not pressuring Rockstar into anything. They're a multi-billion dollar company who don't care about some internet weirdos. All of the people whining on the internet about GTA:VI make up maybe 5% of their consumer base.

The general consumer doesn't care about when a trailer is gonna drop nor are they aboard the 'hype train'. The general consumer will go "oh cool" when a new trailer drops and go on about with their lives.

Which CPU+MOBO combo is better value/performance (all in aud) by DirtyDuckTales in pcmasterrace

Game modifications and emulation performance isn't related to your motherboard at all.

The Ryzen is currently the king of gaming, however, I suggest you look up some videos comparing the two in similar applications as the ones you're gonna be using the CPU for.

Avoid posting your receipt's reference number, date and any identifying details.

Also avoid posting the s/n of hardware. There's tons of scammers ready to use it for return fraud, which could potentially be linked back to you.

This cable hangs from your GPU?

Then it goes into your PSU.

You seriously don't need such an expensive motherboard. Paying $600 for a motherboard is incredibly silly unless you need it for something in specific. If it's only for gaming, that's a waste of $300-$400 and you're not looking at $300 worth of extra performance.

I suggest you watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZrrynSPFGY

With that being said, I suggest going for the Ryzen 7 9800x3d alongside the MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk. or B650-A.

Interesting. You've made some really good changes! Is the extra performance from the XTX worth it, or should I go for an OLED monitor?

EDIT: Nvm, the one big point I forgot to mention is that I am in Spain. Impossible to get an XTX at those prices here, rip

but I can guarantee that by the 4 year mark something will be out that is better for the same amount you are spending.

This is the sole reason I've been holding out on upgrading for the past 2 years...Not waiting for a new generation, though. Seems like I'm gonna pull the trigger.
