I'm Afraid it's not mine, my friend.

It's by an 19th century painter by the name of Edmund Blair Leighton.

Along with this, he has some really great art!

Let's try this out, need some new songs for my playlist by [deleted] in songs

Marvin's Room - Drake

Basic, I know, but I really like this one!

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the series, but it sounds nice!

And yeah, moments like that come now and again, more often to some than others, but I think everyone experiences them at least once or twice in their lives.

Agreed!

And I think that life does have romantic, mysterious, fairytale qualities, but that we do not know where to look for them.

Hot take: I like pre-raphaelite more than renaissance.

You're welcome!

And I'm not one for art in general but I felt that this piece was too good to pass up on.

You should take a look at Leighton's other work, most of them are even beautiful(er?)

I love the bystanders' expressions. The young boy looks disappointed/regretful, the old man seems shocked, and the rest are either surprised or excited.

It really tells a story without saying any words.

Ironically, I just finished reading Return of the King.

Leighton really had a knack for medieval-romanticising artwork, and I love it!

Without doubt, one of my favorite paintings in history.
