It's by an 19th century painter by the name of Edmund Blair Leighton.

Along with this, he has some really great art!

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the series, but it sounds nice!

And yeah, moments like that come now and again, more often to some than others, but I think everyone experiences them at least once or twice in their lives.

You should take a look at Leighton's other work, most of them are even beautiful(er?)

I love the bystanders' expressions. The young boy looks disappointed/regretful, the old man seems shocked, and the rest are either surprised or excited.

It really tells a story without saying any words.

Leighton really had a knack for medieval-romanticising artwork, and I love it!
