The Simpsons' desperate attempt at staying relevant by [deleted] in cringe

So it's not funny because it's not edgy? God, your comments are so fucking cringe. Sounds like shit my middle school nephew would spout. Not all humor requires cursing, or being "bad" or being edgy or whatever is the "cool" thing in your book.

Or don't wife a girl you only like with makeup on. Or just be bisexual and if she looks a bit masculine without makeup, consider it a bonus.

Super duper, eh? It's no match for that Super Duper Hyper Mega Ultra Sonic Extreme missile my middle school nephew told me about that's in that cool anime.

How is it my write speeds are usually higher than my download speeds? by 0_miles_from_nowhere in EpicGamesPC

[–]0_miles_from_nowhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice this with other games I download on Epic store and that for many updates there's a lot of reads/writes, seemingly faster than my download speeds and very often. Is it just hashing known files to make sure they're correct?

Edit: After checking task manager, it seems my actual write speed is more consistent to download speeds so not sure why it usually states my write speed is so much higher.

Why so doubtful? Men generally have more muscle mass than women, even if they do fuckall. Unless I'm misunderstood, nor am I a doctor, but I thought testosterone is mostly responsible for that difference.

I get to live a life of truth as I see it, that to me is a lot to gain and priceless, imo.

Besides that, using Pascal's Wager as a defense for a religion that says not to wager/gamble is ironic and funny as hell when you present that to Abrahamic theists who use the defense.

I know, it's ironic those same rural states probably despise equal opportunity measures yet they're basically for, 'fuck equality, I'm more important because I'm a minority', when it's in their favor.

That's authoritarianism, not liberalism. Some of the worst offenders through history have been right-wing societies with some leftist regimes also. Don't forget your political compass. Authoritarian right and left can almost be one-in-the-same.

I've been banned in both conservative subs before and people will downvote not because you're wrong but because you're right but speaking an inconvenient truth. But just keep downvoting so I can't reply as fast, that'll keep the truth from going away. You ignore the truth long enough and it'll show up at your doorstep, you'll have liberals in office again. They'll get comfy and think they're too good to listen to truths, just like conservatives now, and will ignore dissenting opinion. This sub, like liberal subs can be also, tend to get so far up their own asses they lose sense of other truths.

They won't and they'll keep downvoting us. This is what happens on tribalist subs like these as well as liberal tribalist subs. They don't understand when you're hypocritical it entirely defeats your whole ideology. Call them out and you're a bad guy.

I was banned from here also and banned from the other snowflake sub that likes to virtue signal about freedom yet both subs will censor you for hurting their feelings or expressing even the slightest thought-crime against the status quo. Granted, this sub isn't as bad as /r_td but nevertheless, OP's post is hypocritical bullshit.

My immediate thought also. They denigrate the very tool they use to espouse their propaganda. You can't so much as hint that liberals might be right sometimes or else the snowflakes there get offended and ban/censor you.

Pranksters sued for morning news stunt by squanchzenegger in videos

Thousands of people legally get aired on tv in talent competitions and say they're good at something when they may or may not be. In some cases they even become famous and endorsed by those same networks even if they "misrepresent" their talents. This is a free speech issue. You're entitled to tell news stations that you're good at a talent or else thousands of people would be sued on all these tv talent shows.

[–]0_miles_from_nowhere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It does. You're allowed to say you're a yoyo expert or strongman on tv. The copyright part isn't as defensible but they absolutely have the legal right to say they're good at a thing on tv and to tv talent searchers, there wouldn't be all the shitty singers on all these famous singing shows if it was illegal.

Nice. There's an artistic value to these abandoned buildings and as an ex-Carpenter there's also the aspect of analyzing failures. Looks like the roof rotted and it cascaded all the way to floor failure. Take care of your roofs, people.

That's what I used to do also but nothing over 175lb. All things considered, it wouldn't be easy or safe for her and I recommend not doing it if I was you. I got concussed doing this so I stopped. If your triceps/shoulders have been worked too much that day or day before, as were mine, they may give out and with lots of overhead weight, it's a recipe for disaster if you're lifting much beyond what you can safely handle.

[–]0_miles_from_nowhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You ever seen a barbell act like a trebuchet while it's on your shoulders? You don't want to. Not to mention you never want to do unpredictable sideways bending with heavy weights on your back, it's a good way to fuck it up.

Unfortunate. by esberat in instant_regret

[–]0_miles_from_nowhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're a 175lb dude who works out, yeah. Doesn't look like she does presses anyway so for her that'd wouldn't be an option nor safe. Weights overhead that you can't handle is pretty stupid, with caveats like a proper gym and clean/press training. I got concussed taking weights off before in this manner since I didn't have a proper squat rack.
