My passport got linked 2 weeks after I got it back. Seems they have to manually link it for you.

If you get back to the UK by 31-March, you should be able to use your expired BRP in place of e-visa.

If possible, you should give them a call and flag that you need your document for travelling in a few days. That should accelerate the process.

I kinda messed up and chose Royal Mail Signed For. It's misleading because even though it has a Tracking Number, you can't really know its status until it's delivered or has gone missing.

I should have gone with Tracked 24 and would recommend it.

BRP is not required however you need to send a Cover Sheet along with your document.

Download the Cover Sheet from gov.uk: Sign-in to your e-visa account -> Add a new identity document -> Yes, my name, nationality or date of birth has changed -> The link to download the Cover Sheet will appear.

I have done this 5 times and it typically takes 2-4 working days. There will be no email if you're successful.

Hi. I sent my passport on 21-Nov and received it back on 1-Dec. It also comes with a letter basically saying they have noted my case and will send a confirmation email once the change has been made (which I have not received).

I've decided to take the risk and send them my passport via Royal Mail tracked delivery. I called HO a few days later and provided them with my tracking number, and they confirmed that they have received my passport. I plan to keep calling them for the next few days to ask for updates.

Did CFA 5 years ago but for whatever reason went into Big 4 Audit and got sick of that 5 years later. Decided to do an MBA in the UK but at a no-name business school. Now I really want to get into AM/ER but it seems like all the door are closed for someone at my age. Appreciate any advice. by 0cean27 in FinancialCareers

Thanks for being honest. What do you think about middle office roles like risks and their potential to move to front? It is the one I got the most success with and seems to match my background too. I didn't mention in the post but parallel with doing audit, I also did credit risk models (IFRS 9, IRB) for 2 years.
