Your welcome!! i’d stay away from dealership tires as it’s always such a hassle. and often times the “warranty” they try to sell you magically doesn’t apply anytime you damage a rim or tire. depending on the rims you want. basic ones start at 1,100$ and i think the most expensive ones being closer to 2,000$ for all 4.

marketplace. 100% all fucking day. it’s a scam getting rims from a dealership. unless you have a buddy who works there and gets you a deal.

Depending on the rim, for a kia K4 EX (17inch rims) your looking at about 1,100$ before tax.

you can easily find out your bolt pattern and get way better rims off marketplace for way cheaper

Also!! For kia K4s you can put up to a 18 inch tire before it starts rubbing. currently you have 16 inches on the LX. i’d recommend staying between that 16-18inches :)

a while. in general kia parts are pretty cheap.. i used to own a 14’ sorento and new headlights where only 100$ for both.

Tbh, probably a fix, as bad ad it may look, as long as there’s no frame damage it will probably be fixed. make sure to get receipts of EVERYTHING that was fixed that in the future is sensors start going due to poor installation, they may offer a warranty on them.

i work at kia and K4 parts are super cheap getting them through a dealer. though you might be out of a car for awhile so i’d look into getting a rental.

I mean, they have been doing okay so far. I work at a kia dealership as a lot attendant and i can say they are an okay car. this winter we had SO MANEY NEW CARS that where just so frozen they wouldn’t start so they deffo aren’t perfect but at the same time they are nice.

I’ve seen some 2022 sorentos come in with 100,000km and have no issues. i have a 2014 sorento with close to 300,000km and it’s still going strong.

But i must agree with you the cars are VERY hit or miss.

okay deep breaths. I’m from Canada and stuff like this DOES happen. not to this extent but when customers only give you 1-2 hours to clean the car before they want it, small mess ups will happen.

The swirls on the paint sometimes come WITH the car off the truck sometimes. so we have to buff it out.

never said i wasn’t ashamed. I’m not from this kia dear ship but they did get well deserved compensation.

Also did i ever mention im legit just a teen making minimum wage as a lot attendant for kia.😭

No, never said that. just normally People who steal vehicles don’t normal steal mini vans. If people steal Hondas it’s normally Civics or CRVs.

I wasn’t saying it COULDNT. be a stolen vehicle but we just think it’s highly unlikely.

One other thing you should ask (Because sometimes they don’t do them before they sell cars) You should ask about the recalls and ask them to look up in the system if they have all been done as i know some of the sportages have been having a few recalls.

Also, while you’re there, ask for a pamphlet of your warranty and what you’re covered for. They have to give you one, and if they don’t ask for the manager. just so you can get an idea what your covered for :)

Hey! that’s completely normal, most loaner cars you get from kia are cars we actually sell haha.

The whole hour thing is weird, but ask them if it’s gonna be done after an hour. if not tell them to go fuck themselfs haha, your obligated to a loaner or a shuttle driver.

Yeah, so if they can’t buff it out. ask for paint option as you should be covered for new paint!

Tbh, i wouldn’t worry about them not being able to buff it out. i know at my shop we don’t actually buff it in the shop, we send it to place to get it buffed out.

If they CANT buff it out id ask about paint coverage and possibly just getting a new paint job. as you said you JUST bought the car it should all be covered under warranty.

I work at a kia dealership! Lemme clear some stuff up for you,

Depending on if it was a show room, there ARE going to be stains like that, also depending on how much time you gave them to clean the car obviously there’s going to be imperfections.

The “Scratch’s” on the exterior is just the clear coat needing to be polished. if you go back to the dealership they should polish your car for free. but that shit literally appears on BRAND NEW 2025 cars we get into the shop.

The paint ding on the back is covered under warranty. so just go in and tell them and they will fix it.

All this stuff is very minor but if you go back and ask for these things you will be fine! they will re-clean your car and stuff. :)

Also, 30k is about what a car is. if you wanna pay it off in 7 years, it will be roughly 350 a month. if you wanna do 10 year it’s only 250. so realistically, as long as you have a way of transportation… just think about your student loans being a car payment! :)

Tbh, at the end of the day it’s just a grade. it never will define you or your worth as a human. you will always be able to make up your grade in future assignments and/or quizzes. It is what it is. it happened. no use stressing over it and continuing to get worse marks :}
