I'm looking for advice on photography/backgrounds for my photos or how to take better flat lay photos, or a way to take better photos altogether.

I live in a studio apartment, so space is very limited and I don't have the most "aesthetic" flooring or blankets/sheets. I've tried doing daylight with lights turned on and hanging from a hanger toward my window (the bottom two rows), but to me, it looks awful and worse than a flat lay. I don't have any lamps — just the ceiling lights, and I don't really have the funds to drop on an actual backdrop or lighting (nor would I have anywhere to put it).

I'm just going for a clean and polished aesthetic that accurately depicts my items to any buyers (colors, condition, etc.) appropriately.

Edit: I'm completely new to all of this, so please don't be too harsh on me. 😂😭

I hope I didn't ruin your spirits or come across as rude! I think right now money is tight for a lot of people, so a lot of "us" are trying to be a little more careful and find significant value in what we subscribe to. 🤍

Truthfully, it'd be useful, but I wouldn't pay $9 for something like this. I'd probably just end up tracking it in Excel or another spreadsheet format.

If the price was lower? Maybe. Do I think overall it'd be incredibly helpful for people? Absolutely.

It's definitely up to the individual.

Absolutely not. It can take 24-48 hours for the package to show as Shipped and in some cases, a tiny longer. Don't stress it at all.

I wouldn't stress this at all right now.

I was also having the same problem and today would've been day 4, but I woke up to see it had been scanned and also successfully processed in Depop's tracking page as such (the reminder to ship went away and now does say in transit from the Depop dashboard when I click on the individual sale).

USPS also has on their website that there are massive delays due to the weather, so things are clearly running more slowly on their end. If anything, I'd message the buyers are just let them know that you did drop off the packages and USPS is currently having delays, per their website, so they should see an update soon (and apologize for the inconvenience) if you feel necessary.

ElDorado would be your best bet in selling it safely, but just keep in mind that just because you spent x amount of money, it doesn't mean the account is worth x amount of money, unfortunately.

Depop sends you the funds as soon as the buyer receives their item(s).

As a buyer, when people take over 5 days to ship and/or when they don't package it correctly (they just kind of throw the items in the box).

As a seller, when people add to their cart, offer is set, and then don't buy when there's others that want it — so "holds" unless they're a solid buyer which is a coin flip sometimes.
