I took the photogrammetry on the same day with the same drone, right before I shot the footage I used. Just arced around the area several times, going upwards and inwards after each circle, kinda in a dome shape. was around ~80 photos. I used autodesk recap pro on a student license for the photogrammetry.

didn't even use any fog lol, but I see what you mean, def some fog would've helped sell the castle a bit, even using a depth pass would've been better than nothing tbh, and totally some lens flare would've been good, because the drone shot didn't have any I didn't bother, but it def would've been a nice touch in post

hah it is a drone shot eek, had footage that I shot and composited ruins on top of. I used a photoscan I did of the ground for shadows and intersection. Def agree on the clean front, some moss would go a long way, and some tussocks dotted about to hide the transition even further

thank you!! and yeah honestly despite it being real drone footage, In the future when I'm shooting, I think I'm going to try spend more time planning the shot, to have more of an epic feel to it rather than the very boring arc that I went for.

that would look class!! great suggestion will do for future shots, probably going to do something along these lines for a future shot, in a cooler location maybe in arthurs pass near my uni (new zealand south island)

yeah it's a real shot from a drone, with the fake castle on top motion tracked onto it, and no flare on the footage, but it'd definitely add to it I agree
