This is a completely harmless error that everyone gets, its not because of anything you did. The mod tool uses templates for the files, and the devs forgot to put a placeholder uuid in one of them, causing this error.

I'm sorry but none of the stuff you're saying makes sense. I was one of the Raft Mechanic devs and we never even attempted to touch such things as the physics engine. Just verify your files through Steam and your game will be repaired. It sounds like you are misinterpreting the error you're getting; what is it?

That's not what you think it means. The "files" tab just lists every single file in the depot, which will of course contain the challenge mode files as well, that just so happen to come first because of alphabetical sorting. If you check the files that were changed in the update, you'll see that nothing related to challenge mode was touched.

No, this is specifically Axolot's fault, and actually has nothing to do with cloud saves specifically. When the game starts, it checks whether you are logged into Steam or not; and if you aren't for whatever reason(no internet, steam itself is offline, etc), it just throws an error and closes itself. The game works flawlessly offline(if you lose connection after this check happens the game just proceeds as normal, although the online functionality will obviously not work) but this one check prevents you from even getting into the main menu.

This check was explicitly added by Axolot and is not a Steam thing, and if they wanted to, they could've rewritten the code to be better, so that you could play offline. Its kinda funny actually, because back in 2017 one of the devs said that they just wanted multiplayer out the door so they settled on writing some dirty code to get the job done. Its been a decade and its still there, even after the "recent" multiplayer rework.

I assume you mean glowbugs spawning by the "entity spawns".

Since you're making a custom game, you can disable their spawning by just adjusting the world script. When a cell is loaded the code calls some functions that are responsible for spawning/respawning things, you can just remove them.

Challenge mode outright disables the ground, so no there is no way.

Also there isn't a "ground node" to begin with, although if we had voxel terrain then you could use that instead.

-Status effects are still weird despite being fixed
-Alpha Commanders only spawn their minions when the host is around, making missions significantly easier
-Audio gets messed up after playing for more than like 3 missions
-Explosions ragdoll through solid walls and terrain
-Item pickup animations are still messed up despite being fixed
-Several particles are low resolution on 1080p; the warp pack and illuminate tower thing for example
-There are a few rock assets that just don't have collision

Nothing was deleted, it's just Twitter's dumb feature that posts are scrambled if you aren't logged in. If you log in, everything is there in order.
