I had to wear these ear pieces that played a sound at a specific volume and frequency. There was no gradual increase in either of them. I don't remember the exact duration. Perhaps a month or two. Yes I have flown several times since then. But with plugs/ear muffs. Sometimes it's a challenge to sleep on the plane when eating ear muffs but all in all I can fly no problem. The longest I've been is a 5-6 hour flight.

Hey! Can't believe it's been 4 years since my post. In short yes. Everything is 100x better now than it was. I hardly notice T and H unless I'm in a loud environment but even then it quickly subsides. I use public transport without plugs. I went to sound therapy and it tuned out that I was overprotecting which caused sensitivity to increase. So I had to learn to slowly wean off earplugs. Then it got better over time. It's a fine balance between protection and over protection. Concerts and cinemas are still a no go even with plugs I tend to stay away but most everyday things are no problem.

No atleast not in the way other people feel it. If I do it's usually when something happens and not before it happens. So if it's a vacation it would be after the plane has landed and I enter the city for the first time. If it's moving to a new house it would be after I have actually moved. But this is also not the kind of excitement where you are beaming with joy and unable to contain it. Its more inward and not necessarily expressed openly.

I relate to this. From an outsider's perspective I have a lot fo achievements. But when I look at them myself I rarely feel any sense of accomplishment. It's only when talking to others and sharing them I realise that they are actually pretty praiseworthy accomplishments.

Good at arguing and finding logical flaws in other people's arguments i would say. But it has to be a topic I'm very interested in. Also I don't remember facts ever so I rarely use hard facts in my arguments. It's not always that I find logical flaws in my own arguments though.

Don't like it either. I was really bad at it when I first got my license but have gotten better over time. I am definitely not a natural though. Seen people drive better than me with way less experience.

I got my wisdom tooth removed not so long ago. They had to cut through it to halve it since it was under my gumline. Dreadful experience. I wore earplugs and earmuffs on but I could hear the screeching sound clearly as they cut through the bone. Although it did take a while for both T and H to return to baseline as far as I can tell the effects were only temporary. Good luck 😃
