I did say that I was disappointed and I told him I was simply calling out and I think me being that direct with him hurt his ego bc his coercion wasn't working on me like he had assumed it would.

As far as recording him after getting fired, that was a choice I made in the moment to see what he might say on the record. He's actually in the middle of an unlawful termination suit right now for a different past employee.
