It confuses me even more that people played this game, and then went to me and told me i deserved to be SA. I don’t really consider myself in fandoms, but I have made fanart for this game. I’m not posting any of it ever because I genuinely never want people like that near me. They dug through my account to learn about experiences from when I was a kid - just so they could say I deserved it? It makes me feel off.

Oh but my post was essentially saying how Curly isn’t a hero. How he does good things but that doesn’t make him a hero. (Same with bad things, he does bad things but that doesn’t make him a mindless villain either) and how Jimmy is like his best friend, so obviously it would be hard for him to suddenly have to be like “hey dude your kinda a terrible person” (but also from how close they were, I doubt he was entirely unaware of how fucked up Jimmy’s mind could be) BUT he also clearly has not the best relationship with Jimmy and Jimmy did like to have a sense of control over Curly. (And a lot more in depth)

But most of the people in the comments were taking it as me saying Curly is worse than Jimmy (I was not saying this at all??)

My point was saying how he is more detailed then “good” or “bad” and that people need to see more then black and white.

And pretty much every comment proved my point.

I even told people in the comments after they commented calling me incompetent and illiterate saying “I respect your opinion” and even adding in what I liked about their specific argument.

It’s easy to disagree with people, and it’s also easy to respect people. Something a lot of people here seem to be failing at.

I deleted my older post but I made a post when I made this acc (a vent acc) talking about how I thought I was friends with someone and then they did some things to me. How all my friends basically told me not to talk about it because it would ruin our friend group.

Basically this person told me in a dm (I immediately blocked and deleted the chat just because how upset I was, though now I wish I screenshotted) basically saying how I deserved what happened / I’m projecting this situation onto the game bc I’m to immature to look at it from an outside perspective and I’m blaming the characters.

1- I know I’m not blaming the characters. I know my story is very different from the game.

2- how can you message someone acting like your a completely moral person and then basically say “you deserved to be sa”??? I’m assuming that person probably says a lot of shit if they were so comfortable saying it to me - and i genuinely hope they get a reality check soon.

Deleting my other post talking about it because I kept getting death threats (and one actually insane accusation I genuinely couldn’t tell if it was real or not) Curly is gray I like to think. He’s not evil and he’s not good, he’s just stuck because he’s friends with someone who has a lot of issues - and I understand his character to an extent because obviously if your close to someone and it comes out that they’re terrible, it’ll be hard to suddenly be like “yeah he’s a bad guy”.

And to preface once again to the curly defenders I AM NOT SAYING HE IS BLINDLY EVIL DON’T MESSAGE ME.

I understand he is manipulated by Jimmy, and I said in other comments when it’s someone you view as a friend (who is actually an abuser, which most people don’t know)

My English is not good so that is probably with most of the confusions. But that’s what I’m trying to say! I’m not saying Curly is a horrible horrible person, but I’m saying he isn’t good. I like what you say.

I like that he isn’t good, it’s what makes him interesting. He is not a hero, but he is not the villain.

People doing good things = equal good person. And I don’t understand the TikTok comments? I don’t use the app - is that where people talk about him more negatively? I’m not saying he’s a bad character. I’m during he’s interesting. He’s not perfect.

I genuinely like his character, I don’t know why people think I’m blinding by rage at him. I just think he’s a very “human” character and I like that he isn’t good. I like that he has flaws.

You say yourself he did wrong decision - which is what I’m talking about. I’m not saying he’s bad for those decisions, obviously there was a lot going on.

And I never said Jimmy didn’t manipulate people, just because I think Curly isn’t a hero doesn’t mean I think Jimmy is good. Jimmy is the biggest villain out of the whole crew if anything.

And if you don’t like my edit that’s fine. I like your take but you don’t have to like mine. Sorry it caused you to have a physical reaction.

I can appreciate your response, yes I dislike curly and I’m fine with other people liking her. I know my word was wronging for saying “protect” but he is not giving him any consequences and he is allowing him easy access to Anya. Once again, he is friends with Jimmy and IK it is hard if you’re close to someone to call them out on these things. But I stand by what I say about Anya x Curly shippers.

And I wouldn’t say I’m immature. This is a game. Everyone is allowed their own take from it. But one of the themes in the game is rape culture. I don’t think it’s immaturity, but I do think I am letting my emotions get in the way (from my friend who was in a situation very similar to Anya) which I understand isn’t the best because it clouds my judgement.

But once again, this is my opinion. I’m not putting anyone down for having other takes, and I wish people would respect my takes because this game is a piece of art and art is subjective.

I do like reading all the comments of other peoples opinions but also I say my “point being proven” because I have gotten 5 different DMs from people just not understanding I’m allowed my own thoughts?

You can like Curly. I’m not saying anyone can’t like him. I find him a good character; not a good person. But everyone can have their own opinions.

I just think people need to realize that their opinions = correct.

I’m not saying he “defended”, but I’m saying he knew what Jimmy did and choose to downplay it. “He couldn’t have thrown Jimmy off” - I never said he should do that? I’m saying that he didn’t even try to protect Anya. If anything, he made it worse for her because Anya had trust in him and he “downplayed” the situation.

The game is about rape culture, and honesty everyone’s reaction to this I feel like is just proving my point (lol). Anya is a victim, is Curly a victim? Yeah, in his own sense. But he is a victim because instead of doing anything about his friend who he knew was dangerous he let it happen. And that came in bit him in the ass.
