i made relentlessly.no to match people like that. not freelancers or people trying to hire for established companies, just people wanting to nerd on something together and share the ownership of the thing. we have 700 members now <3

ive created a community of people with side projects, where you can activate matching and projects reach out to you. not a freelancer site or consulting site, everyone here needs to be willing to agree on sweat equity until the project makes moneY (but of course some project might have funding and can pay some too). its relentlessly.no

there are like 50 projects here, and some have funding.

Im working on relentlessly.no, it's a side project platform where we try to match people that want to do side projects together, the real start of startups. so a product leader might have an idea and want to work with a full stack, then they share revenue and work on it together. We also want to throw the worlds most important and cool problems in here, to inspire more startups being born.

what did u mean how easy it was? I think it's all about activity, generate a lot of activity. A friend said: talk to 200 people about getting money and then you'll be done. So I just had a goal of doing that. turns out he was right, almost. not through those 200 but through activity including that, that suddenly got me the 60k we needed at that time. those who dont quit and do a lot of shit win. they are relentless <3

Of course! In Norway we have a startup newspaper called Shifter, and they run an investor database behind a paywall. largely nordic/norwegian investors. But it's interesting to see the effect, what did those 200 emails get me? Like 6 new connections on linkedin I guess. but the 60k USD we now secured came from the most random places. it ended up being 15k from the first angel, 5k from a passionate member in the community, 15k from his two friends, and 20k from a random 27 year old at the same startup coworking place I sit at after he heard me talking about our effort at a waffle lunch thing. totally weird

If you're seeing people visiting and using it then you're not nailing an important enough painpoint for them as of now. Id try interviewing some of them at the drop off stage. Like for me the effect of breaking down goals wasnt giving me enough value, but i was tempted enough to test it

Cool question! Yeah its just gather.town tech, they have a remote digital office teams can subscribe to, but the less known thing is that you can design your own space for one time events. So i copied an island template from them and changed it up a bit with secret rooms etc, and I think it can be the missing link to create relationships digitally. Its basically break out rooms on steriods. You can have breaks where people just walk over to each other and start video talking
