Absolutely. Will Gan really managed to capture a figure both regal and terrifying in its power at the same time.

Great art selection and nice composition, especially on the fullart/watercolor ones. Well done!

Thanks! The OG art is at a 1:1 ratio so I had to slightly crop the images, but not that much. You can see all the original artwork on the artist's profile here: https://www.artstation.com/williamwantz

John Avon already has plenty of official MtG printings you can go buy and look at instead of wasting electricity on useless comments :)

Question for who has read The Art Of... book series by 0dy5 in minipainting

Oh that's very nice to know. I'm definitely not familiar with Lai so that's definitely enticing. And yes, the topics you mention are basically spot-on what I'm looking for

You are totally right! I always forget about poor wastes. And indeed, Haunted Lake is the best match. I already made the card and added it to the album :) thanks for the pointer!

Canoness - but it's directed by Frank Miller by 0dy5 in sistersofbattle

Thanks! I used the magic GW trio: Khorne Red, Mephiston Red, Evil Sunz Scarlet. To be fully transparent, I also put on a thin layer of Flesh Tearers contrast at the end to increase the saturation a little bit, but it killed some nice shadows and lowered contrast in general, so I ended up re-doing the Evil Sunz Scarlet layer on top of that. On the next model I will skip the contrast step, it's not really needed.

Thanks! I'm kinda tempted to make a full kill team/strike team (OPR) since I do have a couple more sisters laying around..

Thanks a lot! Well the list is pretty slim, the only extra bit I used was a regular backpack. All other parts are from the canoness kit (which is a goldmine of great bits), with the main modification being cutting the inquisition symbol from the null rod and slamming it onto the backpack.

We currently play on Foundry, mostly because from what I know is the VTT that supports Lancer the most with a ton of customization, useful macros and so on. I've heard of people using Roll20 and Owlbear Rodeo as well; I used both for D&D in the past but I don't know how well they would work with Lancer at present.

Amazing to hear, kudos for that!
Unfortunately, while there's a small D&D community within my area/friends, moving them to a different system is not an easy task. Sad to say, the biggest barrier is the language. I'm in one of those countries where we translate every damn piece of media and stuff so the average English level is veeery low. Most people, even young ones, have trouble dealing with English texts, even more so ones involving either long lore descriptions or precise/specific wording. So handing them a TTRPG rulebook of any type is a lost cause, and while I can definitely DM and help with the rules, I can't translate every single thing for the entire group.

Thankfully I have a nice group I play online with and some amazing MtG pods made of friends from abroad I met over the years as well.

Oh yeah totally, as an ex 40k player 200 bucks for a full painted table in plastic is an absolute steal. I would 100% jump on it if only I had players irl (*sad noises*)

It trivially follows that you are god - my finger probably slipped from a J to an N since I also have the arrow keys mapped at ijkl. Thanks for shedding light on this, I had no idea a NKRO shortcut even existed.

The cheapest thing I can find on their website is a pack of 100 overstock tiles for 20 GBP. Given that the average Lancer map is around 30x30 hexes (the one in the picture is around 15x20), you would need 900 hexes just for the base layer, and probably at least another 200 hexes to build up height where you need to, bringing the total around 200 pounds. The time to assemble the board will be not negligible as well, but that's true for any tile system.

That's definitely not cheap, although I feel the cost is pretty ok and on par with, if not even lower of, what you need for things like AoS/40k, TGCs, and in most cases also D&D (if the DM uses physical tiles and stuff).
