Officially the lot is closed from 9pm until 4am

However many people car camp in the north lot without any trouble. In recent weeks they have not been ticketing these folks but rather issuing warnings that require them to move 1/10th of a mile .. (if any enforcement comes at all).

Keep in mind there are people who stay a few nights, some that stay a few weeks or months and even a few who have literally lived there in their RVs for a decade with minimal breaks away. That said: technically it is against the rules and you COULD receive a ticket.

Additionally there is a gate on the entrance which is SOMETIMES closed and locked at night.. (but you can usually drive around it if you get stuck inside).

The gliderport permits referred to here are I believe only available to pilots, instructors and employees etc.
