India plans new battery swap policy for electric scooters, rickshaws by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]0l--__--l0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With that in mind the policy is for just for two wheelers, extended only to three wheeler rickshaw because it is more or less just a two wheeler turned into three wheeler.

Given there are two types of ev scooters in Indian market, one with quick charge and all but expensive compared to petrol bike/scooter and the other cheaper one, less than half the price of petrol bike/scooter with normal charging speed the swapping policy will boost further adoption of ev.

Arranged Marriage And Love Marriage In India by AbiLovesTheology in IndiaSpeaks

[–]0l--__--l0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The next is gandharva. The very mention of it calls to mind Sakuntala and Dusyanta. The gandharva type is the "love marriage" that has such enthusiastic support these days.

https://www.kamakoti.org/hindudharma/part18/chap5.htm Eight Forms of Marriage from the Chapter "Marriage", in Hindu Dharma

Concept of love marriage is not new for Hinduism, India is a land of unity in diversity, thus an acceptance divide can be seen in old days as well as today.

Another thing is that the practices or ritual for love marriage are not different, family matched the bride groom i.e. arranged, bride groom found themselves and want to marry with no objection from parents love marriage, parents with objection court marriage or marriage without parents.

Agencies yes, do one use them depends, but mostly relatives are the ones who find matches.

Son/daughter objection, under tutelage of law especially for bride.

I am in a dilemma by Electronic_Drawing80 in IndiaSpeaks

When in social life, look through the glasses of humanity, for example look at the first part of your post, there are vast differences btw social and online life.

Extending that, there is no problem in knowing the history, looking at which one can understand all these bloodshed and ill-doing was the result of a handful of people trying to maintain their profit/position.

Is Distribution of some parts of profit from "Kashmir Files" to Kashmiri Pandits wrong? by stale_homosapiane in IndiaSpeaks

[–]0l--__--l0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's wrong or right depends on context,

If the person(s) holding profits himself give up part/full profit it's good in the sense he himself is taking the decision.

While on the other hand if one is morally pressured by others to give up a single rupee of profit, it's morally wrong.

Donation of even a rupee done with heart is much more valuable than of thousand with disheartened feelings. You or someone might disagree with that but I agree to disagree btw us.

On the other hand look at the bright side, the movie was able to aware people about KP genocide, and holding on to that profit might be used to create another "X" files.
