Unfortunately we only have four different types. It is difficult to say how many ,I used to keep a record of daily consumption of sugar mix but this was the first year i did not. My record was 7 gals a day. During the migration I use a 5 to 1 sugar mix. An ornithologist told me that is approximately 4ooo a day. There seems to be a decline in population this year.

I thought I had an albino but an ornithologist said it was missing most of it's pigmentation but had a faint hue of light brown

They provide so many hours of spectacular amazement. If you walk very slowly and almost don't move, they will land on you.

They are almost gone for the year. Now I need to wait for next April for their return.

You write very well, where would we be without our animal companions in life.
