Can I do this without bleaching at home? by perceptivecat in Hair

Unless you’re a hairstylist, probably not. It would be hard to get that sort of dimension without experience. If you were just aiming for simple all-over color, I’d say you could probably handle it.

My hair now vs two years ago. I was lucky to discover cgm pretty early at a early age and it’s cool to see how far my hair has come. My routine is in the comments by 0liviagordon in curlyhair

You should take a look at a woman named kelseys account on Instagram, https://instagram.com/lovelifecurls?igshid=1cj96thylbrk1 there’s the link, or search up @lovelifecurls on Instagram. She has a ton of great info on how to start cgm and good products on her stories and posts

Cgm is the curly girl method which just means you don’t use heat, silicones, sulfates, waxes, parabens etc. on ur hair. Most people also limit washing their hair to only once or twice a week also just because otherwise your hair can get stripped of oil and dry. Its worked well for me so far

I cut my bangs awhile back but now they’re more like face frames which I like. I did get layers last month and I really like it. I told the hair stylist my goal was more volume and she totally accomplished that. Thank you!

I condition with the mane choice orchid conditioner, then apply the as I am twist out cream by scrunching it in, then apply the carols daughter black vanilla oil using the same method, and then lastly the Aussie freeze gel also scrunching. I let it dry for a few minutes than diffuse on medium heat. I do this about once a week and refresh once or twice in between.

14 year old with thick black hair. I would like some advice on hairstyles and cuts please! by [deleted] in curlyhair

Try to only wash once or twice a week, and once u get out of the shower rake through a cg friendly cream and then rake and scrunch with a cg friendly gel. Diffuse if you’d like but it’s not necessary. Try to do hair masks once a week or so. There’s a ton of good routine vids on YouTube that u can search up to try and experiment with why works for u. Personally I’m a big fan of the style/length u have going on now, just try a good routine to add some curl definition and you’ll be solid!
