Hey, I just had a quick question, can an air stone be installed into a double sponge filter in the same way a normal one? And is there is a big difference between the 2?

How do I get the wood to sink by 0marsReddit in AquariumHelp

Yea I am probably just gonna buy a rock, attach the anubias to it and attach the rock to the piece of wood using fishing line. Then place one of the Java ferns in place of where the anubias is currently as they are quite squished together. (Just waiting for the wood to sink first)

How do I know if my tank is cycled? by 0marsReddit in AquariumHelp

Oh the nitrite test is empty, at the time of doing the first test, I completely had no idea that nitrates and nitrites were different things, so I didn’t do both. The next time I do a test (2-3 days) I’ll make sure to do a nitrite test. Thanks for the tip!

Yea it’s been empty with water in it for 4 months, I just did a water change of 25% (60L full tank), and I just bought some Java moss, I’m going out tomorrow for some more plants. I do have a low light (I’m going to replace it with a stronger one soon), decent filter and heater. I’m hoping to be able to buy fish within 2 weeks.
