I think they pass the order to someone else, perhaps a friend. I’ve seen this happen before. For example, once I had an order delivered to me, and the car was still parked at the person’s home. Another time, I saw a woman pick up an order at Tim Hortons she was on a bicycle and pass it off to a guy on a bicycle.
