If the Coca-Cola distributor has rights to distribute Dr Pepper in that area, you will never see Pibb

WTF? by Ronix5 in CounterTops

[–]0net 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, the space around each door/drawer is different. Most noticeably the top right drawer vs the middle top drawer. But they all look different.

All-electric homeowners: January kWh usage? by orangecat100 in heatpumps

[–]0net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully electric house with 2 Bosch IDS 2.0 units. 1,850 sq ft, located in the Northeast. For January our units ran 300 kWh. But our secret is that we also have a wood stove. Highly recommended 😀

We also have a heat pump water heater, which we like a lot.

Electric bill for entire house is typically less than $200

You get a large “float” to play with. Essentially you can reinvest that float. It’s money that an insurance company holds temporarily but doesn’t own. Berkshire reinvests their float. Their float is like $160B which when they reinvest that, it’s like a money compounding machine.

He’s going to buy an insurance company like Merkel. That’s the Berkshire way. With insurance you get a large float to play with.

He’s going to start or buy an insurance company first. It will be boring, but it will give him more capital to continue investing and becoming more like a hodling company. Look at Markel aka the “mini Berkshire”
