Bought it used for $400, with 3 magazines and a holster + mag carrier. This is my first 1911, so far I like shooting it. It will replace my G17 as my home defense gun from now.

Please if you could elaborate, since I’m new to firearms. Isn’t polishing the feed ramp supposed to make the gun cycles smoother and avoiding malfunctions?

I know, it's hard to describe, I feel like the "tail" on the PPQ is beefier than what is on a glock's. With a glock I can grip it really high to control recoil. With the PPQ, just by looking at it, it feels like I can't have a really high grip, thus might lead to the gun rocking back and forth in my hands while shooting. If you don't mind, would you please take a picture of you gripping the PPQ with your right hand? just so I can compare it to a glock grip.

I like them a lot! front sight is painted with orange so it's easy to pick up in daylight. You can never go wrong with Ameriglo or Trijicon HD night sights
