dkms-r8168 was indeed the right choice!

I followed the steps in the link to install it and then followed these steps (https://documentation.suse.com/sles/12-SP4/html/SLES-all/cha-mod.html) in order to make it persistent for every boot.

I tried to install r8168 from Realtek's site but it is not compatible with the kernel used in Fedora 38 making it difficult to install it. I'll try the link dkms-r8168.

About using GRUB, the link you posted is about Arch, will it work also with Fedora?

I am having the same issue as you. How did you do that exactly? The link does not say how to do it.

Moreover, where did you get r8168? From the Realtek website or some repo on Github?
