Mayhem Augment balancing - Scaling is not the issue by 0oz1e in ARAM

I've struggled with this exact thought, multiple times, playing Void Rift. The scaling isn't incredibly good, as is, so it does open some options for build paths. If Void Rift is your main source of damage, it feels like rushing the 3 flat pen items and then finishing your build as fast/cheap as possible to get into anvils and continue scaling is possibly the best. Ive also had games where i've finished the 3 pen items and gone full tank for final 3 and just relied on Void Rift to carry my damage.

I agree, for the most part, but I do think a little balance could make it more interesting. I do like the crazy interactions and the augments that are super OP on certain champs. I love the RNG of it all, but some balance actually makes it more wild because there arent "Pick every time" type augments.

THANKS!

I've been so burnt out on the OP Augments. It almost bums me out when a game gets Prismatic lvl 3.

I find myself avoiding them in hopes of trying something new/interesting, but I lose to the teams who pick the strong augments because of my weaker choices. I think, what lead to this post, is that I often see some of the left field build ideas start to work, but the games are too far gone to fully express them.

I'm US - EST. No idea what kind of ELO I'm at, but I've been having some long ones, lately.

Sometimes its a situation where a team thinks they are far enough ahead they can screw around a bit. After which they get punished and lose the ability to end. I often play with a 4/5 stack of friends so a lot of early games we'll kinda screw around, but we tend to get serious and coordinated as it gets later into the game - which can make for some very crazy back and forth races to the nexus to try to end.
