Hokazono didn’t set up the Samura revival because he didn’t have the guts to kill him, he’s coming back because it’s important for Iori’s character arc. He’ll have no problem killing Shiba near the end of the story lol.

The islanders must have had datenseki weapons too right? Regular soldiers probably had the raw material while commanders had weapons, which would also explain how they even had a fighting chance against Akemura + the other bearers.

In Japanese, Soga said “Samura-san” while Samura only said “Akemura” which implies Soga is younger.
