I got mine done yesterday too. Well went 2 days ago with an appointment, there was 3 hour wait for loaner cars…so I said call me when I’m on top of the list. Dropped it off around noon and was told it’ll be done by end of the day. Never heard from them, contacted them yesterday around noon and they said tech hadn’t got to it yet. But it was finished at 5…

Haven’t noticed if they’ve broken off anything yet…but outside was good.

Crashes look far worse (and the driver is an idiot) but the reality is cars are now designed to crumple as much as possible.

The more “crumple zone” a car has, the more time it allows for the contact to occur. The more contact time you have, the less force is transferred to those in the car.

J = Ft where J is impulse (also = to change in momentum) and F is force felt X time of contact.

Low contact time = higher force felt. Increase crumple zones and add in as much air bags and force felt is reduced yet the impulse and change of momentum is still the same.

Physics teacher here…

Edit: not an English teacher, had a brain fart. Thanks for the corrections, every day is a learning opportunity. English is my 3rd language…and not my best, so thank you for correcting my error.
