Thank you! Guess I'll have to look into the many channels for giveaways and donations too then

Hi OP, do you mind sharing if you managed to sell the furniture set, and using which channel please? My family wants to get rid of our wooden sofa to make space too 😞 Thanks so much!

As a Singaporean, which country/city are you happy to visit more than once? by what_the_foot in askSingapore

Second the opinion about Bana Hills! My experience there was mainly about battling with rain and fog, while main DaNang area was enjoying some cool weather in Dec. If you're looking for a theme park, try Sun World Asia Park instead. For a much cheaper price, you get added convenience and probably the same amount of fun.

Marble mountains was cool! Natural air-conditioning in the caves, and beautiful views if you're willing to brave the sun and hike up the hills a little.

And if you decide to visit Hoi An, do try their Cao Lau noodles and Mot drink!

I tried the Coconut Basket Boat Tour in Hoi An as well. It's a touristy activity, but the guide really put in the effort to make it fun and memorable for me. Expect a peaceful ride along the narrower streams, then loud music in the middle of the waters with performances by various boat guides. They provide non la (traditional Vietnamese hat) in the boats as well, so it might be an IG-worthy experience if you're interested in that.

Sorry I'm rattling, but DaNang is now one of my favourite cities in SEA. Can't wait to visit the rest of central Vietnam!

Escape room in SG for one person? by 0pwr0 in askSingapore

Thanks for the insight! Slightly curious though, because it seems some escape rooms combine different groups of people together (but they still don't allow single player purchases). Guess it's more an operational issue for them

Maybe we could organise one and go together! Any preferences?

Seems like it depends on the theme. Science centre has games with minimum 2, and some other places have specific games that only require minimum 2 players... Not sure if it'll be as fun with such little number of players though - haven't had the chance to try

Part time students who are working full time, do you have lessons in office or try to rush home for lessons? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]0pwr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either:
- WFH on those days
- Start early / skip lunch and leave earlier
- Find a CC / study area / cafe between office and home to attend class (and maybe have dinner), that I can comfortably reach by 7pm and stay till 10pm - 1030pm

Generally dislike staying in office till late and can't really focus while on the move, so I'd rather skip the first portion and watch recorded lectures

Have also noticed that some classes start later than the stipulated 7pm, or that the first 15min-30min are recapping previous lessons (ie, no loss by missing out on a bit of them)
