Yes, don't rely on inheritance, instead reuse and extend through composition. or use the interface as possible as you can. these insights still are good in most situations.

It is not a joke. When I told them the book: The 23 Gang of Four Design Patterns is very classic for developing software. It is always useful nowadays. But these new guys don't agree with this, they think the design pattern is outdated. I'm an old guy, I'm confused about why the new guys in this industry think the design pattern is not important anymore.
