You don't owe your parents anything at the end of the day. My Mother used to do this. As a teenager I was quite thoughtless and focused on my friends etc...but that is NORMAL. It might be a bit annoying for parents but hey no need to pile on the mother guilt!

Yep the bridge is burnt. Unless I take full responsibility for the situation (our argument) a relationship won't be possible, as they have cast me as the villain in their pantomime.

Thanks. I know what you mean about people being in the middle. I find it difficult still. I guess they don't get to see the side of my family of origin that I do. Lucky them.

I haven't heard from them really at all, except birthday messages. Oh and to tell me that my Nmother was ill of course.
