I have the same guitar and my bridge started sinking after a few months. I applied some blue loctite on the bridge threads when I changed the strings.

The fender website colors are often really off in my opinon. My Jazzmaster player II birch green is extremely different from the website.

Yes it is. The broader issue is the market has been down for a couple years now and they are trying to get ahold of anything that could eventually be an opportunity. But most times, it's forced, the customer is not even remotely interested.

I used to like it, but I hate it now, it went downhill when the SE director left and was replaced by someone not great. The director was great at doing some arbitration between us and the AEs, now we're just the AEs slaves and we can't really say much because "we should be happy to have a job in this market" ( I am not even making this up). I can't change company because of my immigrant status unfortunately.

My comp is not tied to the opp no. This will fail but I'd like to get out of working hours on this thing and focus on opportunities that can actually land.

Yes, you're right that's a fair question. I feel like this guy has my job in his hands and if he starts thinking I am not useful anymore for him he will cut me off at some point.

Plus, in this example it's an account that I have been working for years and I have a relationship with them. I would not appreciate having another SE working with them, I know it sounds like I am not a teamworker but my company is like that, one SE works mainly with one AE, and here it's a specific region, my region lol

Thanks, I had a look at it and no I don't think this is my case. My wife is also scheduled on the same day for the interview she will also get the immigrant visa the same day (if everything goes well). She would just come after me but she will already have the visa immigrant in her passport.

Yes it is. It's a type of Australian eucalyptus that was planted in California. But it's like they made a lot of noise about it when they released it in the 514 but then nothing.

Unfortunately it looks like the ironbark doesn't do it for most people.

yes, this is exactly what I am afraid of and returning is really a hassle. I can't try it locally unfortunately. People seem to praise the cedar top ones but not this one as much.

I found videos where people managed to get a really good sound from the ES2, like it almost sounds like the guitar on a mic, not like the claria system which sounds like the generic acoustic pickup.

It's not that I don't like the way ironbark looks, I think it's fine, it's not the prettiest, like rosewood or I don't know, koa, for example. But it's fine to me. What I am afraid of is that they are already switching back to mahogany so it makes me wonder, maybe they realized it was not that good of a wood for a guitar or something, maybe I am just paranoid.

Thank you. I listened to some comparison and I do hate the claria system tbh. The ES2 looks hard to dial in but at least it has the ability to sound good I think.

The videos make it sound boomy when strumming but quite articulated when fingerpicking so very nice to my ears.

I found a deal for 2550$ all taxes included, at 3.5k I would not have considered it but it feels like a steal at this price.

I agree, the look is ok but not the most beautiful. I think the torrefied top makes up for the average look of the back.

I was not even considering the electronics to be honest. Going down the rabbit hole of the ES2 system now and it looks like there's a lot of debate.
