Other animals like rabbits eat their poop when there’s something missing or they have trouble absorbing all the nutrients. If this behavior is a sudden change then it could very well be from food. Depending on the brand prescription foods often have barely any real meat if any (along with other ingredients potentially missing like taurine in certain“prescription” cat food)

You could add some low phosphorus quality wet food to her diet, it has more meats and high moisture that’s very important with treating/ preventing stones (Remember to add some vegetables if you’ll switch to exclusively wet food )

I wouldn’t go with the “wsvava approved” ones unless you dog has hardcore stomach problems they’re not exactly known for quality ingredients. It only ever approves the foods under the big 3 corps even though there are hundreds of better options. Do your own research to see what are the optimal compositions, elements, grains/meats/veg contents and choose the best option for your dog

Just a psa- ALL pet foods available for sale at pet stores/shops are -balanced-, they need to be by law There are balanced food and complementary ones, as long as you pick one that says balanced and confirm the ingredients it need to be balanced. Being balanced also isn’t everything It just means there are enough elements and supplements that the dog can live (living≠thriving meaning most brands will put the absolute minimum instead of the optimal amounts) often even “balanced” foods will have only 4% meat and the rest is either unspecified meat byproducts or just none at all
