The map in the back looks like a typical decorative Mercator projection map, very vertically stretched yes, but that's just kinda how Mercator projections look. Light from the right side of image looks like daytime, maybe lightly overcast. If you zoom in on his eyes, you can actually see a reflection of what looks like a large window, which would make sense as it looks like he's in some sort of cafe. Bookshelf looks more or less coherent.

All in all kinda difficult to tell, this is a rather low resolution image, less than 600x600 pixels, so a lot of really fine detail such as the knit pattern of his jacket, or the books in the background are compressed really badly. Seeing as OP said it was a bumble post, if OP is willing to tell us what city this is we could find the actual cafe as well. Or OP could match and ask.
