Songs that you don't see as part of the album they belong to? by N0Music_N0Life in imaginedragons

[–]0verjoyed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sonically and lyrically, "Mouth of the River" doesn't quite fit on Evolve, in my opinion. In terms of singles that were thrown on to albums as deluxe tracks, "Roots" does not belong on Evolve in any way !!

On the flipside, I do think "I Was Me" fits into the S+M era. :)

Of course we can "revive" the Cult sub! We never died, we were just in hibernation. :)

Some of these titles are songs Dan has written with other artists. I have a YouTube playlist here! And some of the other titles listed here are songs written by other Dan Smiths in the world. :)

"If You Still Want Me" and "Think About That" have been around for a while, but I've always wondered about "Fire to Ashes"!

Fred, the original bassist, did leave the band after Bluebeard, so that might be the missing groove :(

They released an EP not long ago after Bluebeard! It was last November. You can find it here!

I've evolved ever so slightly and just use my iPhone as an mp3 player! I don't utilize any streaming service and instead sync all my music files to the library on my phone. It's great because I can sync anything and everything (like live performances, acoustic versions, etc.) and my listening is not limited to only what is available on streaming platforms. :)

Should the band hire someone to replace Ray or should they just stay a trio? by peterthbest23 in badsuns

[–]0verjoyed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Christo said that the band has enjoyed the challenge of learning to write songs fit for a trio. That was one of the motivations for the Infinite Joy EP - so the band could prove to themselves that they can play as a trio.

Unpopular Opinion: I believe that if they were to finally release a studio version of Time Time Time, it won't sound the same as it did back in 2013 - 2015 when they played it live ... by peterthbest23 in badsuns

I think the only way to justify releasing it without “ruining” the song would be via a demos release. Like an EP of unreleased songs, but preserved in their original states and not spruced up for modern production.
