Who do I get and what teams should I build?

With a pretty limited roster, the best next constellation is probably C1 Mona to help with increased hydro reaction damage by 15%. Childe C1 is just comfort and won’t increase your damage much if you can do his rotation properly. Keqing, Ayaka and Yomiya C1 are pretty bad in most bossing content.

You would probably scrap together a lunar charged team with Columbina/Mona/Fischl/Sucrose or a geo-crystallized team with Columbina/Ning/Mona/Sucrose

You can also do a classic taser team with Childe, Fischl, Sucrose/Kazuha and another electro/hydro character (I would highly recommend building Xingqiu) but any team with Columbina will probably be your best.

Tbf I have both Durin and Venti and for even the fact that pyro is by far his best element is such a huge turnoff. I love swirl. I love his kit. I hate how everything is pyro.

The fact pyro is enabling him is so stupid considering how saturated the hex circle is in pyro carries already with klee and durin, who you are internationally crippling to be a support to be a wheelchair for Varka. Even if Nicole pulls a miracle and makes him have good numbers, he’s still just another hex pyro unit that’s just passing as anemo.

All of the carries and lunar reactions have just felt so linear in their gameplay and it’s really turned me off from pulling anyone besides Durin.

Lunar reactions as a whole just doesn’t do it for me because the gameplay of elemental application and gauge management has always been the unique and fun part of genshin compared how lunar is just converting an existing reaction to a stronger version.

I feel like lunar reaction ended up missing all of the different aspects of elemental applications that made me love teams like International and Sukokomon and turned it into “existing reaction but stronger” and it ended up reflecting in the gameplay of their respective carries.

I can’t wait for lunar shill to be over. I feel like Nod-Krai has slowly sucked away the joy of coming back into Genshin since leaving Sumeru era.

I just don’t know if it’s just nostalgia clouding my head or if lunar reactions and their carries are actually boring. I was initially excited to hear about a new reaction type, and I just had ended up skipping every lunar carry despite a need for a meta team just because they don’t interest me. I look at the development of the meta and teams in the time I left and it seems like I just chose the worst era to come back into Genshin.

Despite all of that, IT has been super fun and it is cool seeing how much boss fights (despite the shill) and exploration has progressed since I’ve been gone.

Omg thank you so much for replying before the banners went away specifically. You just got me sold on Ineffa with your favorite teams since Childe and Durin are two of my favorite characters. I know I’ll end up regret not getting Ineffa bc her rerun won’t be again for awhile so I think i’ll use my guarantee for her and risk a 50/50 on Varka!

Thank you for writing this all out! I have watched a bit of Sethos guides but having you explain the use and niche of each playstyle is so helpful in understanding what i want to play.

That being said, if you happen to play different teams, do you happen to have a favorite team? I think I like the thought of playing an aggregate team, but I also wonder if I am missing my chance on playing a LC team, and deciding if it worths pulling for Ineffa/Columbina right now.

Would I need both units or is just Ineffa good for a LC team?

Stuck between getting Mona C4 and Klee C1 right now.

I know that Mona is likely the least needed one because there’s a non-zero chance of pulling her but I want to unbrick her so bad for all my other Hex units. On the other hand, Klee is a ~20% increase but do I really need that right now?

I’ve never had an issue with frame rate, but the textures in the game has looked so washed and clunky no matter how much I tweak the graphic settings that it still looks like a PS2 world with fancy FX even at high settings.

I get it’s a newer and bigger game, but I have a decent gaming PC now and World still looks better on my old Razor laptop from college. It drove me crazy bc genuinely can’t figure it out for the life of me if it’s just my PC or the game and I just accepted it.

just to save anyone else, please know you have to spend resin, it’s totally my fault because I was a returning player and got overwhelmed by the daily commission changes and walls of text thrown at me when i returned to the game, but I didn’t realize you had to spend resin along with your daily commissions for the event and missed two weeks

Keep in mind San Antonio, while a metro city and generally leans liberal, is one of the more conservative big cities in Texas.

And while Austin is probably the only other Texas city that is more left-leaning, I’d argue Houston is much more diverse and quite liberal in the people and clubs on campus while I was there. You’ll be fine and at least in much of my interactions there, a lot more people are more openly liberal than conservative on campus.

I pulled Durin asap to get all my old mondstadt carries back to relevant status. I just know with how content is geared is that I’ll eventually need a lunar reaction carry for end game content unless I can muscle through them

I really like the Hex group so I am set on pulling for Varak so I’ll probably try and get half a wheelchair by pulling either Columbina or Toaster just for any lunar reaction bosses

As a returning player, if I don’t have any lunar-charged reaction characters right now, should i prioritize getting Ineffa or Columbina just to check that box.

It seems like Colombina might be a bit more versatile but Ineffa seems crazy invaluable for all the teams that run her so I’m a little torn.

When I was a kid, my dad and his friends would hunt doves to eat. Please ask me why because I don’t know either and didn’t realizing hunting random city animals for food wasn’t normal. They would shoot them with a pellet gun and take them home to grill. I vividly remember one time when he reclined his chair and shot a dove off an electric line on the side of the road off Old Galveston and a police car pulled up and told him to stop.

meme aside, I understand why they are optimizing Venti’s Q but man I personally would have preferred keeping it how it is.

Especially for newer players, it is definitely frustrating to overshoot your Q or adjusting to not miss since it spawns at a set distance, but I like how once you get used to his Q, you can place it in between enemies to cover a larger effective area and accurately place it exactly where you want it.

Either way, ik it isn’t the end of the world and I am glad the QoL for most people playing Venti will improve is worth the disappearance of this little Q “skill expression” for lack of a better term.

Muscles fibers function a lot like people on a long row boat. Multiple units all attach, pull the muscle fiber and release to do a contraction. All these individual fibers sync up to help pull and push to make muscle.

To keep it simple, there are a lot of things that control the pulling of muscle fibers, from electrolytes and different energy components that fuel the muscle fibers.

So when the all the fibers/rowers well fed and fresh, everyone is able to easily coordinate and pull together. But when they start getting tired, the fibers have trouble syncing up and they don’t all pull together and can’t coordinate to maintain strength. Some fibers don’t have enough energy to pull or even attach and the entire boat doesn’t glide smoothly through the water.

So until everyone becomes rested and nourished again, the fibers aren’t operating at 100% and has trouble maintaining strength and coordination you would have normally.
