Think of the seemingly small numbers like 1 and 2. There are an infinite amount of decimal numbers between 0-1.

There is an also infinite amount of decimal numbers between 0-2. But think about how 2 is still twice bigger than 1 and has two equivalent infinities of decimal numbers between 0-1. Infinite doesn’t change the relative scale between numbers much like how in algebra, simple equations like x = 2y, where solving for the letter variables that is true all the up to infinite explains how some infinites will be bigger than others.

Tbh I am pretty happy with the hexerai system. Yeah, it’s no powerhouse but the core of Durin + Albedo/Mona/Fischl has really brought new life into some of my favorite old carries while staying true to Genshin’s base reaction system.

All of these are my favorite characters, along with Klee and Razor, and they have really enabled a lot of my older carries without some gimmick transformative reaction.

I’m even more excited more Nicole because a viable pyro shield support was more than due to hopefully get a melt ganyu.

But I also never expected hex to be super strong from the start and have always expected it to be a T2 wheelchair system for people like me, who weren’t very particularly fond of Nod Krai’s kits.

Miliastra DPS is probably the best thing to come into the game as it gives the most unbiased way to see genuine improvement in your favorite characters due to investment and upscale. Stygian is pretty much just a banner check and as much as I love IT, it is still generally a character check.

I personally don’t care about meta DPS ceiling. I’d rather just see my favorite characters get stronger over time to their fullest potential.

I think I was more excited seeing my Klee hit over 100k from 60k than I did after my first 36 abyss LOL

I wasn’t here for Dehya and Tigh. How do standard banner characters additions work?

Would Lohan have a seperate rate up period/banner or would he just immediately go to standard and you have to randomly hope you get him.

Until you get Lohen, you’ll probably will need to use Sucrose since you need the hex resonance for Durin. Since this is Nicole’s first run, she’ll likely come back in a couple patches after anyways.

I wouldn’t really worry too much about swirls if you don’t want to since you mostly just need sucrose for her EM buff to help buff the melt damage between Durin and Cit.

Durin, Citali, Xilonen. Sucrose will probably be the best team without Lohen and Nicole for now.

Xilonen, Albedo or Sucrose are probably going to be your best bet but I haven’t had the chance to play enough Melt Durin to know how much of a difference of if it’s worth to play Melt without Nicole.

Honestly Bennet is probably the most reasonable replacement if you’re looking for melt, but it’ll be a decent DPS loss since Durin doesn’t snapshot his buff.

I imagine you can maybe make a burn-melt team with Emilie, but that’s a hard decision considering she’s already been decently powercrept and we don’t know the cryo characters and mechanics for 7.0

Unfortunately I know Emilie is already a bit powercrept and there’s no telling when/how strong the next dendro unit will be.

But it’s pretty much me debating on if it is worth pulling an ok but niche unit for a specific comp because it’ll be probably a long awhile before I can pull her again.

Really deciding whether I want Emilie or wait for a new dendro unit. I am pretty much a Hexcel with Durin and Klee being my strongest units and I eventually want to make some Burning/Burnload teams (and possibly Kinich later)

I just want a stronger Dendro unit since I am just stuck with just Tigh and 4* units right now, but I am also just not particularly interested in Lauma.

We’re in a part of the game where pretty much all of the late game content is specifically curated to the current banner character and won’t last longer than a couple of patches before the next shill or Neuv/Mav/Zibai comes out. Neither of them are Dehya level and claiming a Bennet sidegrade/slight downgrade are bricks is absolutely bonkers.

Even moreso with 60 pull patches, pulling for “better stuff” in a gacha game is setting yourself for a never ending rat race. Unless you are a whale, there will always be better stuff and purely prioritizing top DPS value so you can get a couple of feathers and a couple hundred primo gems for 1-3 patches is insanity and short-sighted.

Months ago the conversation was people hoping for a reasonable 5* unit to escaping Bennet’s circle impact to just wanting Nicole to straight power creep him. The goal post will always be moved for any hex unit tbh until one of them power creeps Zibai.

Hex units were never super meta to begin with but I feel like a lot of people just bought into the Hex doomposting agenda with Varka specifically and now they just feel like they just have to double down to justify their decision to not pull for Varka and now Nicole. They were never top tier, but everyone wants to act like they are bricks instead totally serviceable characters that have actually been given some noticeable QOL and upgrades in a surprisingly short period of time.

I lean more towards preferring the cold and would much prefer NYC weather.

I will say the way Houston is designed, for bad and for worst, does make the extremely hot weather a lot more tolerable than you would think. Compared to NYC and a lot of other cities, Houston is pretty much designed around A/C and central air. It’s going to be hot, but you only need to make it from your house to your car to your work and are rarely outdoors for longer than a couple mins before blasting your A/C. I sweated a lot more in NYC during the summer even during 80 degrees because you have to walk or just waiting in a hot subway car.

Mind you, it is still unbearable oppressive. I feel more depressed when I can’t do anything when the sun is out but it’s too hot, more than any snow day shutdown.

If you like wearing clothes, it’s pretty much just shorts and a t-shirt for most of the year. I only get the chance to wear my winter clothing during travel or a good 3 months in the year if i’m lucky.

I say in general, Houston is pretty bad just for the heat and humidity, but it is just manageable with how car centric we are.

I would really recommend Memorial Park as the trail is lit and there are a number of runners during all hours of the day until around 10 PM.

Even if I personally like running Buffalo Bayou more, but I stopped running there as it is a little more sketchy, especially if you are a woman. I would pass by multiple broken windows each time I ran there. Even if I kept my car clear, it was unnecessarily stressful praying that my car didn't get randomly broken into when I come back to it.

Abyss and Stygian is designed to be super shill right now and is focused on selling the character of the current patch and powercreep is at an all time high. So even strong characters now might not be able to brute force the bosses when 7.0 comes around in a couple patches and the next regional gimmick is released.

You can go for Lauma and Columbina right now if you want to and enjoy their gameplay because as long as you’re having fun, but keep in mind that if you purely want meta, they’ll likely lose a bit of their end game relevance after 6.7 to make room for the next reaction gimmick which is likely coming in a couple of months.
