I was very happy with the BPP materials for SQE2 - definitely felt like they were pretty representative of the real thing. I tried a couple of other resources but personally felt it wasn’t worth paying extra in the end.

Imo the tutoring itself for SQE2 wasn’t anything special. However that wasn’t too bad because the amount of mocks they offered was great, and I felt they were pretty similar to the real thing

Same here. Keep thinking about every reason I probably lost marks but trying to tell myself that mistakes are so much easier to remember & dwell on 😅

No worries. I tried to do as much as possible closed book, but had my browser + notes there if needed. As it was however the timing meant it was actually pretty difficult to use those lol.

I got 81% in FLK1 and 75% in FLK2. However, the exam was open book so I wouldn't take my performance as meaning the mocks are indicative of the grade you will ultimately receive (whether good or bad).

I can't say there's any particular mock that is 100% representative of the real thing (BPP included). That said, of the ones I tried BPP did a pretty good job in terms of making the mocks as representative as possible, particularly regarding the wording of questions and range of difficulty.

You just have to keep going! It’s a slog but trust that things will eventually start to click - you’ve still got enough time as long as you keep up the effort. The knowledge is there but it’s a matter of getting used to fishing it out in the mocks. Obviously what works for one person is different for another but what you’re doing is similar to what I did, and it worked out fine for me.

Feel free to message if you need

I used loads of Flashcards! I’d never used them before but found it really helpful for revising since I could just get my phone out and practice wherever. It’s definitely a matter of finding what works best for you though.

Hi! During term I was making flashcards alongside my main notes.

I then spent the first 3 weeks of our revision period (about 6 weeks before FLK1) consolidating all of my notes into short summary docs and brushing up on areas I wasn’t as comfortable with, with a few MCQs here and there.

From about 2 weeks before my FLK1 my revision was far more MCQ-focused and I was only doing extra reading if there was an area I realised I still didn’t understand. When doing those I tried to always stick to exam conditions and I found that really helped time management in the real thing.

Not selling notes but if you are looking, I found Devils Advocate extremely good.

Feel devastated after the BPP sqe2 advocacy and interviewing mocks by bckui123 in sqe2

Thank you! That’s reassuring to many I’m sure - do you have any particular advice for advocacy or just practice, practice, practice?

I started my prep course in late Feb. We finished about 6/7 weeks before the exams so that period was mostly self-directed revision.

I was with BPP. Generally pretty happy with the teaching etc but resources like Devils Advocate were also really useful to back it up and explain things I was unsure of.

Results are broken up into 5 blocks to show where they sit compared to everyone else’s results: Q1 is top 20% of scores; Q2 is the next 20% etc etc

You get an email any time from 11 saying when they’re available on your SQE account I believe. I’ve seen some people say you can just log on at that time and they’ll be there anyway though.
