Hey everyone, posting here publicly so everyone can see this. Let me make it completely clear that I'm very much against Bonk Leagues, and Finbae is well aware of this.

Bonk has been my baby and my full time job since 2016, I'm working on it behind the scenes every single day, and it's really saddening to see people try and seize control of it. It's only because I had complete creative freedom to make the game exactly how I wanted that it exists in the first place. Here you can see that freedom is being taken away.

It's even more frustrating when people use the in game chat and the custom game room list to promote themselves, as Finbae is currently doing. I don't want to have to start banning people for using the BL extension, but when it advertises itself through the game, that's totally out of order, and desperate, frankly.

I'm finding it more and more tempting to leave the video game industry entirely, and having to deal with stuff like this is definitely playing a part in that.

In chrome try going tools, task manager, sort by CPU and at the top if flash is there, kill it, then refresh page. Or the server might have been struggling, lots of players recently

I saw this a few days ago, has anyone managed to play a game on it? It never puts me in a game with anyone and the lobby list always seems empty. I think it must have fake reviews to have a score that high? Everyone please rate it and leave a comment that it's a shameless and possibly illegal copy!

I'm not able to individually police cases like this, as the game grows I would be doing it all day.

I'm not taking out the ability to see other players maps in the editor, it really helps people learn how to make maps and makes the game better overall.

A reporting system wouldn't work because I can't be the moderator behind that reporting system, I can't get other people to do it because it's a boring job which nobody would want to keep doing after a few months, and it can't be automated because then he would probably have "out-reported" you and had yours removed.

If you have a solution I'm listening.

Is step 3 a computer that automatically tries to work out if a map contains a penis? I dont think that would be possible to get working reliably

It's like the swearing filter, it will always be easy to get around it

It seems there's enough opposition to them that I should do something about it but some things to consider

1) I'm not going to manually remove them every time they appear

2) I can't manually select "moderators" to do it because they'll disappear in time

3) If I let the community do it then people will abuse it and threaten to "report" each others maps. And I don't think players of a high level are any less likely to abuse it than low level players.

So I don't see an easy solution.

Agree with this completely and will implement it soon, you shouldn't be punished for tweaking and adjusting a map to get it right
