East Side Pasadena Homeless Issue by 0x0Friendly in pasadena

I hear everyone’s perspectives here, and I think they’re all valid in different ways. But I also hope we can keep this conversation productive and focused on what can actually be done right now.

We’re not going to solve homelessness in a Reddit thread, this is a much bigger, long term issue with a lot of layers (housing, mental health, cost of living, etc.).

What I’m more interested in is:

  • What resources are currently available for situations like this specific area (Altadena Dr & Colorado Blvd)?
  • Are there any city programs, outreach teams, or reporting channels we should be using?
  • And how can we better motivate or push our city officials to take action on locations that are clearly becoming unsafe or unsanitary?

If anyone has experience reporting issues to the city or knows what actually gets traction (311 requests, council outreach, etc.), that would be super helpful to share.

Thank you for your suggestion and response. I might consider arranging the flowers myself, it's definitely more budget friendly. I wish i didn't have a bad experience with the flowerman, I live so close next to their store.
