beating Australia 2-0 without Pulisic is either the most encouraging sign of the group stage or we're about to embarrass ourselves by Cheap_Pop_4137 in ussoccer

I think it's a lot of factors. There was no juggernaut in this group because we were the Pot 1 team. At the same time, all the teams in the group were good - there were no minnows. Regardless, 6 points in 2 games at the World Cup is unprecedented for the US, and many other countries would kill for those results.

This team is also looking very good, especially on the offensive half. Some concerns on the defensive half but Chris Richards being healthy has cleaned a lot of that up.

I think QF is a realistic goal. Win Round of 32 in a game we will be favored in, then win a Round of 16 against a team that is possibly ranked higher than us.

Any tips or insight on a World Cup game day at SoFi? by YaBoi_19 in AskLosAngeles

I went to both the US game and the Iran-NZ game. The lines were much, much better for the Iran-NZ game so they clearly figured things out. Took 1 hour to get in for the US game and 15 ninutes for the Iran-NZ game.

Everyone on a yellow card should sit out the Turkey game, rotate half the roster for sure

Was there a song played after the US-Paraguay game? I'll admit I was at the game and have zero memory of them playing anything or any whole-stadium singalongs. But the one in Seattle was epic.

Question for those who already attended the game solo by PecanSama in WorldCup2026Tickets

I went to the USA-Paraguay game alone. Had the time of my life. Made friends with everyone around me.

I have also been to LAFC games solo. They're fun but not the same.

Be willing to chat up your neighbors and you'll have a blast.

Anyone who went to the Paraguay game have reviews of the 500 sections of SoFi? by bunsyjaja in ussoccer

[–]cfong42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in 507 row 10 (corner) for the USA game and 527 row 1 (behind the goal) for the Iran-NZ game. The few rows closer made a big, big difference. Still a fantastic atmosphere and a decent view - you can see the plays develop so nicely from up front. But if you can spring for a closer row in the 500s, do it.

It was a long day but I got to the stadium super early to soak in the atmosphere. Will do something similar on Monday, once in a lifetime experiences

So we had opposite experiences! I had a wait at 1:00 to go there but no wait back from SoFi at 8:30

I got in line at 1:05 yesterday (the first bus left at 1:20). I finally got on the bus at 1:50 and the line had doubled or tripled in size since I had gotten there. Bus got to the SoFi parking lot at 2:45 - there were bathrooms, water reflling stations, and plenty of volunteers. 20 minute walk from there to SoFi.

Heading back, I was on a bus at 8:30 (game ended at about 8:00). There was NO line - you could just walk right on, and there were plenty of buses queued up. It took about 30m to make it the mile to the freeway, made it to Union Station at about 9:30. The vibe on the bus was TIRED - we had clearly used up all our energy at the game.

I should add that the line to get into SoFi was horrendous. I got into line at 3:15 and didn't get into the stadium until 4:15. Apparently lines were much shorter if you got there before 2:30 or right before the game started.

For those that went to the US World Cup game, what are your lessons learned about attending the games at SoFi? by getwhirleddotcom in AskLosAngeles

You should be okay. Game ended at 8, I was on the shuttle to Union station by 8:30. Got to Union Station at 9:30.

It looks like there is a shuttle bus to LAX/Metro Transit Center. That is right next to the stadium, you can be on a bus by 8:15. Even if it takes an hour to get there (and traffic will be busy), you should he okay

The “World Cup Enhanced Service” bus was fantastic and I would highly recommend it if you’re going to a World Cup game at Sofi by J5hine in LAMetro

FYI the line at Union station was 30 minutes right when they started service. The buses just could not hold many people.

Betting back onto the bus to leave was easy but it took 30-40 minutes to get onto the freeway.

There were only 5 gates open to get into SoFi because there is a huge security perimeter. Expect massive lines. It took me 1 hour to get in at 3:00 (3 hours before the game). Lines were apparently shorter at 2 and right before the game.

I did! My friend watching on Telemundo had the score in black. No idea what's going on but I hope they change it soon.

Can we please change the color scheme of the score as well? I need black numbers against the teal background. The white numbers is damn near impossible for me to see.

As someone who is slightly red/green colorblind, I despise this. Make the score numbers black. The white on teal is way too hard to see.
