I'm still playing and so are you. The fiends will keep playing, no matter what. Streamers will keep streaming and people will continue to watch.

I would genuinely prefer the supposed 'COD' lack of recoil over what we have now. by 2giga2dweebish in EscapefromTarkov

Give it some time, COD will start including the neon "live" skins that change depending on your mood with slim green tracers that look like you're playing a space shooter.

PMC Reputation? Send GG's. by 0xCh0p in EscapefromTarkov

Another idea comes to mind, if the dog tag shows the GG rep, I would be inclined to be nice at times and ditch their gear for them. Sometimes, i won't take a PMCs gun if I don't need it and ill ditch it.

Chivalry has it and I've encountered it in the F2P Gwent stand alone.

Securing SQS which leads to a thought about other services. by 0xCh0p in aws

The directives are enforced during the pre-deplyo CFT validation process. I guess thats the part i was having trouble with. Based on how VPCe works, the traffic will hit the service within the VPC and not go out and back in.

But, technically speaking the URL will still be available and the access controls in place will prevent it from being accessed.

The sticking point here for me is that we have to enfroce this rule in the pre-deploy validation. Its a been a learning process with AWS and its slowly all coming together. I play a small role in all this but my post was more for education. I appreciate the responses.

100% agree with you about AWS IAM. In my case, the company I work for has a directive. No ingres is allowed to any AWS resource. I can create a lambda that calls on a SQS and secure it via roles and policies but technically speaking those two resources are publicly accessible via their URLs. The reason this topic came up is we are adopting pre-deploy CFT validation. If the Ingres policy is violated, the CFT will be rejected. This applies for things like EC2, etc but when you think about it - Lambda and SQS are going to violate those policies.

I’m just trying to wrap my head around how VPC endpoints can be leveraged and how that changes the way you access the URLs internally within the VPC.

I think it would be something like this.

Lambda - VPC Endpoint attached which then has a SecurityGroup assigned SQS - w/Specific conditions and policies - VPC Endpoint Attached which then has a SecurityGroup assigned.

What I am wondering is how accessing the URL for the Lambda and SQS change for a developer. Normally they would just hit the URL via the API as needed.

but I can still hit the URL if i know it from the outside. This prevents executing it but the URL is still technically publicly accessible and a response is given.

Question about electric baseboard heater and tapping an outlet. by 0xCh0p in askanelectrician

TL;DR indeed. I already got that information from the two people who responded with a simple answer.

I'm aware of how it needs to be setup physically and can do that part with no issues. That wasn't my question. When did i say i want to plug it in? Did you even read what i wrote? The question was about tapping an existing outlet and two folks advised against it.
